I recommend considering other retailers for your purchases. Following my recent experience, I will be shopping at Nordstrom, Sephora, or Ulta. Here are the reasons:

Return Experience: I recently returned a perfume I purchased the previous day. As the purchase exceeded $200, I received a bag of samples. Upon returning the perfume, the sales associate complained about the day’s returns and stated that the unopened samples and perfume would be discarded. They could have either allowed me to keep the samples, as the remaining purchases were nearly $200, or simply processed the return and inquired if I needed further assistance.

Customer Service: On a previous visit, I sought advice on a dry shampoo. During this interaction, another customer arrived, expressing interest in a more expensive haircare product. The sales associate abandoned me to assist the other customer.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. It says online that “As long as the products are new or gently used condition, We offer free returns to make this process as easy for you as possible. Online purchases can be returned at any Bluemercury store location with a valid receipt. Your receipt was emailed to you at the time of your purchase.” So, EASY is defined by this: I took an unused moisturizer into the store and the sales on site first declined me by saying the original package is required, which is NOT what they say on the website. Then she said the email receipt cannot be used as proof of purchase so had to call customer service for any online returns, which is again NOT what they say on the website. This is a great store and everyone is super helpful and friendly! My sister and I stopped by last Friday and all 3 employees were so nice and helpful. I went again yesterday/Sunday and Lisa helped me, she’s so knowledgeable with all the product lines and really helped me decide which products to buy. I was also impressed because she was working alone and there were at least 4 other customers shopping, she stayed calm and was able to make conversation with everyone and be helpful, super impressed!
