Simply amazing! Like many, my social media feeds have been flooded with videos of Japanese Head Spa treatments that looked divine. When I heard Sheen Salon was now offering them (heard through Liz from @ontheeastside) I knew I had to book one. Helen was incredibly friendly and welcoming upon me entering the salon. The head spa is towards the back in a private room, and it is very spa like (with dim lighting, light music, and a massage-table setup.) I had booked the deluxe head spa which included gua shua, a facial, neck/shoulder/arm and hand massages ahd then of course, the head spa treatment itself. I loved every second of it, and am already planning my return. Helen was delicate when working on my face, and applied a gentle but strong pressure with the shoulder/neck massage. It was a very calming environment. I had indicated in my notes that I have very sensitive skin, and the products used did not irritate my skin at all, which was very pleasing! I also have curly hair, and the head spa worked well for me (in case other curly girls are curious.)

The 90 minute session ended with a blow out (and you can add on additional services to this portion - like a cut or style.)

If you enjoy scalp massages, or someone washing or brushing your hair- I highly suggest you try this out.

I’ve seen Hanna for years and I can’t say enough good things about her, but now I have to sing the praises of Helen and Ivy, too!

I booked the head spa service for myself and a friend for her 40th birthday and it was so much more than I expected. We stepped into the lovely salon and I knew we’d be taken care of, but we really were transported when we went back for the head spa. From the aromatherapy to the massage to the facial to the head scrub, it was a truly luxury experience. You’d easily pay three times this price anywhere else and I’m sure you couldn’t have a better experience than we did at Sheen.

Plus, there is a warmth to their whole atmosphere - when we were back out in the salon having our hair dried after the head spa, Hanna came over to say hi and wish my friend a happy birthday. Hanna has been cutting my hair for years and she is always so positive, caring, professional, and kind. She also does an incredible job… I’ve been getting compliments almost every day since she cut my hair 2 months ago!
