It is now my turn..... Renters & Home Owners beware. STAY A AWAY. I have emailed (20 times) & called (15+ times) "At Home Vacation Rentals" with not one response. Was giving the same story as you will read with many other of these reviews "send an email and management will respond" NOT.. Just to share here was the email sent.

As requested I am sending you an email with our disappointment in the rental property this past weekend.
As I had explained to you that our plan was to have a barbecue at the home on Sunday. After checking in at noon on Friday, I had called you and informed that the pool was not serviced. The hot tub was green and the pool had died dragonflies and dead baby frogs in it. You had said that it would be serviced that day and it was not.
On Saturday, it was a beautiful day and we all went to Epcot, assuming the pool would be serviced that day. When we returned at 10pm and the pool still hadn't been touched. This was very upsetting and again I left a message.
As you know from my very many voice mail messages on Sunday no one showed up. It really had a huge impact on our day.
Now to add more fuel to my anger over the day, the gas tank on the grill died when we were ready to cook burgers and dogs for our barbecue........ Cannot have a barbecue without a grill???
Just a total mess.... You would think it couldn't have gotten any worse...... but then the house alarm system starts going off. With no way for us to turn it off and the police showing up. Alarm went off again Monday morning when leaving.
One last item was the worms or whatever they are. In one of the bedrooms they were actually in the light in the ceiling.
Just a total disappointment.... I would like to have someone call me at ddd-ddd-$$$$ to discuss a partial refund of the price paid for the house. I have a few appointments in the morning but will be available after noon.

Read morePlease beware when using this site for bookings, I checked out a property, put in my payment information, the property showed it was booked and gave me a reddish pink alert that the dates were not available and I would be contacted, no one contacted me however few days later they charged my account, after I had secured another vacation home. Below see the assistance I received in getting a refund right after I saw the charge on my account, the phone conversation was the same, however she did not mention a $200 cancellation fee.

We stayed at 1562 Sandbagger Drive in Champions Gate, Davenport Florida for a week in Feb/2023. Issues with the unit included, unfinished drywall repairs, broken handle and lock on rear sliding door, broken door closer on screen door by pool, insufficient water level in pool preventing heater and pump from working properly, mold on pool deck, no light bulbs in livingroom lamps and no place to plug them in as there were no outlet expanders or power bar, no batteries in remote for ceiling fan, burnt out electric kettle that did not work, cracked stove top, slats for vertical blinds in livingroom missing and thrown in closet, mold on ensuite shower curtain, broken towel bar and 2 of 3 light bulbs out in main floor bathroom, several missing or broken knobs on dressers and cupboards.
Several messages left via phone, email and text. No significant response. Maintenance came the day before we left and changed the light bulbs.
After our trip I reached out to them, answered their request for feedback and have never been replied to.
Champions Gate is a great place to stay but I would highly recommend making arrangements through some other company than At Home Vacation Rentals and VRBO, who also manage...
