Has a great selection of Korean goods. Lots of varieties of rice. Lots of ingredients to make Korean foods. Korean snacks. There's even an aisle of Korean home goods (ceramic cooking pots, portable gas burner, etc.). Also includes Korean produce in a small walk-in fridge in the back. Lots of freezers of Korean food. Korean noodles too. I didn't get to see everything since I had to get what I needed quickly.
I bought a bucket of kimchi. It was fresh and only just getting ripe so I know I can get a lot out of the kimchi over time. Very reasonably priced for the amount of kimchi I was getting (a bucket at $20-ish). Good flavor.
Really nice staff - speaks Korean. Parking situation is great. Huge parking lot for the strip mall that the market is in.
My son was over the moon about the snacks I got which he missed after we moved to TN from Los Angeles. Will...
Read moreSmall mom and pop store carrying what appears to be mostly Korean and Japanese, there is also decent curry and maybe some Chinese or Vietnamese bit don't quote me on that. The presumably owners do not get in the way, they assume you know what you're there for. Though small in size, it's got a lot of product. The frozen Mando and frozen rice cakes. They are like really thick spaghetti and I will drop a few of each into soup and it is a pretty good meal. The kimchee is freshly made and has great flavors. I've had it aged and it's a bit sour bit I think that's the healthful stage. I will get rice there also, short grain Asian rice, which is superior to most brands, though I like basmati and Thai Jasmine rice are bangin. Nice store, I love the meals that come from their products....
Read moreLove this little primarily Korean market! They do carry some other items from other Asian cultures as there's a lot of melding. I was able to find some Vietnamese groceries I needed. It's a small spot right across from the mall and every time I've been it's been so busy! The staff is so kind and keeps everything stocked. The produce section is small, but frozen and dry goods are plentiful. You'll find lots of options for tofu, miso, mandu, rice cakes and fresh kimchi! It's so much better than the mass-produced versions you'll find stocked at other Asian markets in the area. I love this spot for trying new things and not having to wind through Sunrise, which is a much bigger market but caters more to...
