DXL Big + Tall — Local services in Knoxville

I can always find some things at this store. However, I am always frustrated by what I consider a rather limited choice in style options. For example, my last visit, several days ago, I was really wanting a traditional sweatshirt to wear mainly inside or for casual outings. While they had a good selection of sweatshirts they were ALL hoodies. And when I say ALL I mean every single one. Hoodies I find to be very uncomfortable to wear indoors or sitting around outdoors, because if you aren't actually wearing the hoodie, them it gathers behind your head and neck and is uncomfortable. This isn't the 1st time I have had this experience. I have shopped their in the past wanting several pair of shorts. And virtual all the shorts they had were Cargo styled shorts. As an older person that style simply looks silly on me not to mention the puffy pockets always snag things. It is as if the purchasing department at DXL decides one particular style of clothing is going to be popular and they only purchase that style. I don't understand it and it is extremely frustrating. But I don't have many options although I am always on the look out for other places...

2 stars for this visit. The lady employee was super nice and helpful. I drove out of my way to this store specifically for jeans and to actually get a decent deal using my $40 off $100 and over coupon to encourage me to ckme buy something. Walking through i found 2 shirts i really liked, but they didnt have the jeans i needed in stock at the store nor did they have for backup online. So my jean option went from 2 for $90 to Levi's 1 pair for $80. Disappointed for having to debate to buy something and the 2 shirts totalled $62 therefore no discount.. so i left the shirts I liked and wasted a good coupon. I didnt expect a price match to a better brand, but maybe to get the jeans when they are available at the current discount. Possibly...

We stopped in to see if we could exchange a shirt I had bought online for a smaller size. The lady behind the counter was not very pleasant. It felt as if she was looking down her nose at us the entire time. She was rude when she informed me that they don’t keep clearance items in store, so I requested a refund. She was very snappy when she asked me if I had the card I used for the purchase. I wasn’t sure which card was used so instead of telling me any card was fine, she just stood there staring at me until I asked if any card would work. The name on the receipt is Denise. I didn’t see a name tag on her to confirm. The Chattanooga location is much more welcoming...
