I will be honest, I have never been inside of this Aldi. However, I am frequently here picking up my groceries as curbside delivery is available. So about once a week maybe every other week depending on my needs I will order online and drive to the store parking lot. I will park in the curbside pickup parking, reply to the email that I get that my order is ready, and within five freaking minutes some lovely individual is there putting groceries in the back of my Jeep. This is a luxury convenience for me. It saves me so much time and I want to specifically think all of the shoppers and all of the people that bring my groceries out to me whenever I decide to show up. Fantastic service awesome store and for the most part everything that I order is generally available which is really nice. Of course there are certain things that sell out faster than others for example holiday gifts that are on sale after the fact lol.
I will keep coming back thank you guys for being part of...
Read moreI have always been an Aldi shopper. They usually have great deals and their two-seater carts are awesome for bigger families. It's usually my first place to shop, until lately. Their prices have gone up so much that it's almost not worth the time to shop there. Their prices on most things are now closer to Walmart, or even Kroger if they are running a sale or you have coupons.
This particular Aldi has only ONE actual human checkout lane. Everything else is self-checkout and the belts and bagging areas are tiny. It's frustrating and awkward to try and scan your own aldi-size grocery load on a tiny space, bag it yourself, and try not to bury the un-scanned items with the bag you have to put in the cart because there's no room to leave it in the bagging area!
Also, be aware that they advertise pick-up options, but it's through instacart which means a surcharge and a tip on top of an already outrageous grocery...
Read moreI love Aldi, but the new location is pretty lame. They've raised the prices on most items. Some are more than double. (For example, hot sauce used to be 79¢ at the old location, and now it's $1.99!) As others have noted, it's also in a very inconvenient location because the mall parking lot is so congested, and the layout of the store is awkward.
This sounds pretty funny, but the Aldi in Carmel is much cheaper than the one in Kokomo. We happen to go there at least once a week anyway, so we do most of our shopping there now, and we spend about 1/3 less by doing so.
It's still cheaper than other grocery stores for most items, but it's just not what it was before.
The employees are friendly and helpful, so no complaints there… but the location and the price are just not...
