I just moved less than 5 minutes from this store (local valley move, don’t worry, I’ve lived here for years). I have shopped here twice. Both times were not great. Both times the store was pretty poorly stocked, messy, and deli had hardly anything in it. The first time I just chalked it up to how things have been with COVID and shopping in the evening, the second time seemed to be a trend. The first time I went in I stood at the deli for over 5 minutes before I was helped. the staff was too busy chatting to acknowledge me. Finally when I was acknowledged by someone that apparently didn’t work in that department they said they would get someone. The guy that worked there grudgingly helped me while complaining to his coworker how terrible his day and another customer was. I got my stuff and went on my way. Everyone has bad days right? And ya some customers can be difficult. I sympathize as I have worked in customer service most my life. I try really hard to be a good customer and be understanding, and because of that at the very minimum I expect to be respected.
The first time shopping there. I wasn’t told of the Advantage program the first time I shopped and therefore paid normal full prices. I was a little shocked when reviewing my receipt. No problem though...I figured I’ll get a card the next time I go in. Again I try to be understanding. No big deal, it’s only a few bucks of savings.
So this time I went in and at check out I asked to sign up for the advantage card. The cashier very rudely told me they were out of cards and there was nothing she could do for me. I asked if I could be signed up with just my number (many stores do this, so I didn’t think that was an unreasonable question). But that wasn’t an option either. In the meantime a very nice gentleman behind me offered to put in his number. I was very grateful for this. However, several sodas in my cart didn’t get rang up (I had put one up for the cashier to scan and left the rest in my cart). We had both missed them as we were distracted with talking about the membership. The cashier rang up the rest of the sodas on a second transaction, but of course not discounted, because again I didn’t have a membership and felt rushed to get out. At the end I asked for my receipts for both transactions...and again another disappointment...no receipt for either transaction because supposedly in this whole commotion I said I didn’t want a receipt. I did not do that as I keep my receipts for all my shopping. Ok so I load my stuff up in my car and swing by customer service and see if maybe management had a way to sign me up for the advantage program and could print my receipts. No one was at customer service but a lady ringing someone else up asked what I needed. I tried to ask to sign up for a card. They weren’t able to because again they didn’t have any cards. But then that cashier offered to give me a “curtesy phone number” for the program for me to check out with. Why wasn’t a “curtesy phone number” offered at the beginning of check out with the first cashier? Of course I’m super frustrated and flustered at this point. And of course this is all really silly to save a few bucks. But the problem is how I was treated this whole time.
Because I lived so close I figured this would be my go to store and I would primarily shop here, but I’m strongly questioning this. Why would I shop somewhere that doesn’t respect it’s customers, that isn’t well stocked, that is messy, and complains about customers right in front of me? All I have to say is do better Ridley’s. For now, I’ll shop somewhere else. If for some reason I absolutely have to shop here again, I will re-evaluate and...
Read moreMy husband and I recently moved to Kuna from McCall, where we were solid Ridley's customers (best prices in town up there). But the Kuna Ridleys has absolutely wowed us with their huge produce section, wide variety of bakery items and very friendly and helpful staff. We have to give extra special props to Jozanne and Miriam in the Fresh Cut Department! They always have a great selection of fresh cut fruit and vegetables...but they ALSO hand make this AMAZING Strawberry Cheesecake Dessert. They were out of it one night and we tried to make due with a real cheesecake, fresh strawberries and the glaze. We were underwhelmed... apparently once you have tried this dessert regular, ole cheesecake just won't do. The next time he was in the store , my husband asked if they still made it. (They do, but had already sold out for the day...That is how good it is! I'm telling you!!) NOT ONLY DID THEY GO AND MAKE HIM ONE OF HIS OWN.... but they offered that anytime we needed more to just call ahead and they would text him when it was ready. When I ordered 2 today, to share with our daughter and her family, they had both ready in a couple of hours AND told me we could just text them next time instead of making 2 trips to the store. You just don't find amazing products being provided by over-the-top employees who go above and beyond to help support you in your new food addiction! In a world where really good customer service is less and less the 'norm', we are very happy to have the opportunity to shop in a true hometown market like Ridleys. PS My daughter and her husband are now addicted to the Strawberry Cheesecake Dessert. PSS Owner: You need to give those girls some...
Read moreI've had issues at stores before maybe a mix up or two. But I've never had enough issues for me to say F* that place I will never return there. This has happened a while ago but it's best keep posting it so people will know since my last review on this company was removed. To start things off there was the time I was looking at an item and decided not to get it so put it back. But apparently it wasnt in the exact same place as it was before. And so the employee (did not catch their name) started yelling at me cause it wasnt put back in the same spot, even though right next to it on both sides were the same products. But what ever. Then there was the time they tried accusing me of theft. I went to buy a single drink and saw it was on sale. But didn't see the part that says must buy certain amount. I know my mistake. So I didn't buy the product and waiting out side is two employees and then this random dude that was totally trying to look official but then I guess lost confidence cause by look of his glazed red eyes and stuttering I could tell he's never done this before. But besides that they kept saying that I was stealing from them and taking stuff and I literllay had to empty my pockets and show them everything I had on me just to prove them wrong. Then litter stone wanna be cop states I'm free to go. Like what? I've been free to go from the beginning. Did I get an apology no. This is the worst store I've ever been to I will be happy to see it shut down. I've had people who work there harass me in the parking lot for no reason. Accuse me of theft. Yell me because they have OCD. I dont know how...
