I just came in and it was busy, but I was taken by the manager to get my nails done. It wasn’t explained to me that there was absolutely zero manicure things done, like even just basic things like cleaning under my nails, or even the hangnail that I asked him just to clip. I understand that I didn’t have an appointment, but he shouldn’t have taken me because he was so busy. He was barely in the chair for more than 2 to 5 minutes at a time. He was extremely distracted and now my nails look like they were extremely rushed. There is still stuff under them that I can’t get because I don’t have those manicure tools. I asked him after the service why he didn’t clean the powder or the nail polish off my nails, do any normal manicure things, or even the thing I asked for and he said that’s not included. I said I wish that I would have known that or I would’ve asked for it. The French dip that he did was uneven. He said that it was my fault because I didn’t ask for fake tips, and I said I didn’t know that - I am not a nail technician. I didn’t know that my shorter nails wouldn’t work for what I was asking. He also said the white line being uneven is my fault because my nails are uneven, and I’m just confused why he could’ve brought that up during the brief consultation we had. When I talk to him after the appointment was over he was confused as to why I was upset. I clearly laid out why I was upset, and I was not trying to cause a scene… that’s not what I wanted. I just wanted to get the reasonable service I asked for, and would’ve been happy to pay for and tip if he had chosen to listen to my concerns. At this point I didn’t have time to sit down and let him fix what he didn’t do. The manager asked me what I wanted, and I said I wanted to pay for the nails I asked for, not what I got. I didn’t mind that I would be having to pay $47 if I was getting $47 worth of service. I wanted to tip him because I know it is a really hard job and he was really busy, but he was defensive and dismissive about his work it so now I’m out $40. He gave me a seven dollar discount, but that is ridiculous because I now have to go get them done again and it will cost even more. To resolve this issue I want a complete refund, but this clearly won’t happen as it wasn’t offered after...
Read moreThe salon is clean and looks nice. Drinks are also served, which is a plus. However, I had shellac done on my fingernails. The first time, majority of my nails started chipping the next day. I went back and let the same technician redo my entire shellac manicure and they started chipping again after a few days. Shellac is supposed to last about 3 weeks. I could tell that he does the top coat super sloppy. I would consider returning, but will be sure to ask for a different technician if I have to. Update years later: I’ve been going to Katie for some time but she has been out on maternity leave. I went to a different tech for my bday nails. Within less than a week, the gems were falling off. I went back to get them repaired. Within a week of that, the repaired acrylic cracked and broke off. Went to get that repaired again. Within another week, 2 other nails have broken off from the acrylic. At this point it would almost be time for a fill, but the acrylic shouldn’t be cracking and breaking off. I called them to ask for a partial refund and was told they would call me back after speaking to the manager. They have not after 2 days. The manager is the same person who couldn’t do gel nails years ago from my first review. I remember he came up to me to discuss my initial review when I came back a few weeks later to work w a different tech and never made it right financially. He was only defensive about it even though I never gave a name at the time or have ever been rude. I’ve been a loyal customer for some years and have even referred people here bc they do have good nail techs. Management clearly doesn’t right wrongs however and that’s disappointing. I will not be returning or referring...
Read moreI went there twice for basic/classic pedicures and SNS nails. The staff at the front desk were friendly, and the atmosphere was nice. My first appointment was with technician Ricky, and it went well. I was impressed with the results—great quality and long-lasting. Ricky was nice and friendly. Although he did a great job, he accidentally cut my thumb cuticle, which bled. However, he made my SNS nails look very beautiful. I was especially impressed with the chrome powder—it lasted for at least a month, whereas in many other salons, it typically lasts only about a week.
For my second appointment, I had Paige for my pedicure. She also did an amazing job with my toenails. Afterward, I waited about 15 minutes for the next available technician for my SNS nails. Ricky arrived and was assigned to me again. At first, it was nice to see him, but unfortunately, he seemed to be in a hurry. He decided to do tips instead of ombré nails as I had originally wanted. During the appointment, he cut three of my nail cuticles, had to redo one of my nails, and the finished result was disappointing. My nails had bubbles and looked unfinished. Sadly, they didn’t last as long as the first time—after just two weeks, they started to loosen, and they didn’t last the full three weeks I had hoped for.
I was disappointed because my first experience was so positive, but this time I was saddened by the results. I will have to go to a different salon...
