This is my first time trying Aviator (06/05/22); unfortunately, the experience was far from what I was expecting.
THE NEGATIVE: Placed an online order for pick up and arrived 5 minutes early. The person at the register informed me the food would be ready in 5 minutes. After sitting for 20 minutes, with no updates from staff, I walked up and attempted to flag down someone. The person who initially told me it would be 5 minutes actively avoided me for a 2 or 3 minutes (actively avoiding me = making eye contact and walking away and attending others who had arrived after I had).
Once I had his attention, I let him know he said it would be 5 minutes and it had been 20. "5 minutes for what?" was his response. I pulled up my receipt and he asked what name it was for. Another staff mentioned "looks like it was all just sitting there". He searched for a bit and started bringing out boxes. Each time he made it seem like the order was complete; I had to keep reminding him of what was missing (i.e. focaccia breadstick, missing sauces, etc..). After multiple attempts I had my entire order and in lieu of an apology he said "it's a mess back there". Not really what you want to hear.
Even though I wasn't provided a bag for condiments, I didn't want to deal with their staff any further and walked out with the food. At home: the pizza was lukewarm and wasn't cut all that well; we had to further cut the slices to be able to serve.
THE POSITIVE: The focaccia breadsticks (with goat cheese) is probably the tastiest I've had. Solid recipe! The pizza wasn't bad; seems like it would be tasty had it been hot...who knows?
END SUMMARY: Overall, the service was poor: no "we dropped the ball, really sorry we made you wait to 30 minutes", no "let me reheat this for you", no "you've got a lot of loose items, here's a bag", etc.. Could be a one off, but did leave a poor first impression.
The focaccia breadsticks were over the top good. The brussel sprouts were tasty.
Based solely on focaccia breadsticks, I'll give Aviator another try. Hopefully it...
Read moreThe place is new and still getting on their feet as far as service is concerned, but the pizza and beer selection really can't be beat for the area. If you're going to do the build your own pizza, it can get pricey but they do have a good selection specialty pizzas for a decent price. Our family of three eats there with leftovers for about 25 bucks. The first time we went, the veggie toppings weren't that great, tomatoes weren't ripe, and we actually found a really gross hair in my husband's Pizza. We let the girl at the front know, she said she would let a manager know,& there was a sign from the owner asking for feedback to be emailed to him directly. My husband did e-mail him just letting him know. I believe his name was John he said that he would comp our meal, which never happened. My husband did reach out to him just to be sure he had the correct info and John did end up giving us a gift card. We were not looking for anything free, but it did feel a little strange. The atmosphere is nice, it's a new building and there is an area out front that kids can play in with turf grass and concrete structures to climb on. Inside is decorated nicely but outdoor seating isn't exactly safe for toddlers. They have thin benches at the tables that are a little wobbly. You are expected to clean your own table and it does seem a little messy inside by the drink machine where you are expected to throw away your trash, pick up your own paper plates, to-go Boxes, Etc. Again I think the place is just new and doesn't really have a good grasp on the customer service aspect of it, but the pizza really is just so good,...

I picked it up and it was ready as soon as I walked in. Trying to open up the bag was a little insane. They stapled it down and when I went to the place where I was staying it was a completely shredded bag to get my food items out.
I got the club which consists of turkey, ham, bacon, lettuce, and tomato, mayo, mustard, and mozzarella cheese. I asked for no mustard and added red onions for an extra 1.50. I got the potato salad. Overall, I would say it was just OK.
The bread is absolutely immaculate, quality meats, but something is just missing. One problem was I had no pieces of red onion on half of the sandwich that I paid almost 2 dollars for. The mozzarella really overwhelmed then meat and bread taste that it needed something to break the heaviness. I added spicy mustard at home because I don’t like plain yellow mustard on my grinders. That made it better.
It’s a super tiny amount that you get. Think 2 tablespoons. The potato salad is really heavy. Nice flavor though. Not in the sense that it’s potatoes but the mayo seems really eggy which I know a lot of people are going to love this. I like For the flavor to be balanced with something.
While I could have finished both sides of the sandwich and the potato salad, the overall flavor just was too heavy. So when you think of pizza you have a nice perfectly acidic balance with the tomato sauce and often veggies. It’s like this sandwich needed something else.
For $17 I would’ve expected to be really happy but I honestly can’t get past the overall feel...
