My family and I were getting together today and was happy to try out the new Sprouts in Kyle TX for a quick meal. They advertised chicken at $2.99 a pound for chicken breast as we walked in. We walked around to get the sides to cook with the chicken for game day and returned to get the chicken and they were out by then. No worries we were checking out and going to leave and the cashier and two managers said oh yeah we offer rain checks. I said okay cool let's do it and get some next time. They pulled the price tags down and dissappeared. I was left standing there waiting and confused for what felt like 20 mins later after my frozen bags started thawing. Then Rob the store manager comes out of a front room and tells me "no we will not honor that price because it's way lower than the advertised price..." Then shows me two price tags that had manager special on them in tiny print. In front of the a bunch of on lookers and made a big deal about the situation. No worries. Why waste my time and leave me waiting for you for so long. I waited as to not be rude and just walk out with out telling you never mind I am good. Instead I waited to have Rob tell me he is refusing to honor their advertised price in that manner. That's okay Rob we are good. If Sprouts is trying to build a relationship with the locals this is not how you do business. You are willing to lose a customer due to poor customer service over a couple pounds of chicken for one meal? I was already about to leave and said okay let's go ahead and get the rain check. Why keep me so long then talk to me like that? You embarrassed me in front of the entrance instead of talking to me in a timely , tactful manner and I was already over it. I was upset at the whole situation. I think I'll stick to my local hero Craig at BonTons! That's what I get for trying out the new corporate place. You lost a lifetime customer Sprouts. BonTon to the rescue for the...
Read moreI was looking forward to this store opening, if you really don't want to put up with the madness of HEB, it is an option. Keep in mind, it is a miniature version if you've ever been to another Sprouts.
The prices were killer though, almost double on some items on what HEB charges, the exact pack of tortillas are $3.50 at HEB, but sprouts were charging $6.50.
Not really wanting to waste our trip, we decided to get ice cream, they carry a few good ones, but the one we choose was at the top of the freezer and it felt like soup in the tub.. they all were melted at the top of the freezer, the place is relatively new in opening so i guess they haven't got all the...
Read moreI had high hopes for a new grocery store, especially as someone who gets a wee bit overstimulated in HEB. However this was somehow worse. There were palettes of boxes everywhere, parking was bad, cramped isles where barely two carts can go down and the bright white led lighting was AWFUL. I will admit I am overly sensitive to those types of things so if that doesnât bother you, you probably wonât notice. I guess I was hoping for more of a cozy market shopping experience & it felt like a whitewashed corporate box. The supplement section was incredible so we will definitely be there if needed...
