Elam's Hallmark Shop — Local services in La Mesa

They have a huge selection of Hallmark items! Located in Grossmont Center it is on the side nearest WalMart. The size of their space allows them to contain and offer the huge selection of items. The huge selection of items was overshadowed however by the great customer service I received from Monica and Jace. I was overwhelmed by all of it and needed to ask Monica twice to locate items I was looking for. She was more than happy to assist and offered good suggestions and information on current products too! Jace at the register was welcoming and friendly. He made sure I had everything I needed. Including Hallmark envelope stickers! The cards I purchased are not aesthetically designed for the stickers, but it is nice to have a few extras;) Thank you both to such great customer service! I walked in to this store with a pack of yarn as I had gone to Walmart beforehand and didn’t want to buy a bag so I held it in my hand with the receipt easily visible in sight. The second I walked in I felt like I was being stared at and noticed the girl at the front w/ curly ginger hair had her eyes on me. I browsed around, but felt uncomfortable so I decided to leave, and as I headed for the door, she raised her voice and said “excuse me”. I looked at the website and it showed same day pick up so I called the store to ask if they had an item in stock they said they did so I drove to the store to get it and when I got there the price was differebt than online and $4 more I asked why and they said because online I would have to pay shipping even though it specifically states that they offer same day pick up. I think ins very dishonest tonpost one price online and then another in the store.
