The first problem that I had here was when the receptionist tried to repeatedly force me to state my medical problem aloud in front of a waiting room full of people after making it clear that I'd rather not. I had to ask her if I could just write it down instead. It made me feel really uncomfortable.

I was seen and prescribed medication by the day staff and sent on my way. About an hour after I left, my condition started worsening, so I called the clinic and they told me to return so they could give me stronger medication. When I returned, no one got vitals on me, I'm positive that I had a high fever, and I was in tears because of how much pain I was in and could barely think straight. No one asked me my pain level, no one asked if I needed pain medication, I had to request it. Everyone on the night-shift was generally pretty cold and unconcerned. And considering why I was there, they should have done bloodwork on me right away and they didn't even consider doing labs until 2 hours after pumping me full of medications. The biggest problem I had was with how rude and condescending the night staff was. I was treated like I was stupid when trying to explain symptoms. I was treated like I was exaggerating my condition when I'm usually pretty tough and that was the worst pain I'd ever been in. I was rudely told "You JUST have _." When I tried to tell the nurse that I was hurting. There was no empathy whatsoever. It almost felt like they were bothered to help. But --- the unprofessional behavior of the doctor left me appalled. Her bedside manner was awful. She was extremely condescending and rude when I questioned a medication that they had given me. I was genuinely just confused and asking why they gave it considering the risk it posed to my condition (especially since they hadn't done labs at this point), and I was met with a nasty attitude. It's really sad that as a patient you can't ask questions without being belittled. She also felt the need to rudely point out that she had a medical degree and knew what she was doing (that was her rationale for giving me the medication).... As a patient you have every right to ask questions in regards to your care and your body. You have every right to advocate for yourself, but when I tried to do so, I was treated horribly. I have a background in the medical field, and I know how patients should be treated and spoken to, and I received the opposite treatment. I had one of the worst nights of my life, and to be treated with such uncalled-for, unprofessional behavior made it that much more unbearable. After reading other bad reviews, it really seems like the staff has an affinity for treating people rudely if you have a medical background.

Although I was treated and have physically improved, I am mentally and emotionally still recovering from that terrible night. It's safe to say that I will not be setting foot back in this...

On Sunday 12/10/23 at approximately 915pm, I went into the urgent care in LaVernia for chest pain. I had been experiencing the chest pain for about 30 minutes before going to the urgent care.Thankfully my daughter was with me because they wanted paperwork filled out before they would see me. My initial Blood Pressure when entering the clinic was 194 / 128. I could barely walk into the exam room. My vital signs quickly stabilized once I was laying down on a bed in the urgent care. They did a chest X-ray and found no blockage. They did an EKG everything was normal. Oxygen levels were normal. They took my blood and within an hour the doctor comes in says my bloodwork is fine and asked me if I ate something spicy, I said, Yes. He then has the nurse give me a dose of maylox and tells me it's acid reflux. When giving me his diagnosis he made it very clear that he was bothered that I had come in and wasted his time for acid reflux or heart burn. He was very condescending and seemed bothered from the beginning like he had better things to do. The next day Monday 12/11/23 I was exhausted, I slept all day and all night and did not go to work. The next day, Tuesday 12/12/23 I was still not feeling well so I called Ulta labs and ordered my own blood work. Once the blood work results came in Ulta labs called me and told me to seek immediate medical attention because my blood work showed elevated levels of triponin. Normal levels are less than or equal to 45. The triponin in my blood was over 1600. I ended up spending 4 days in the TexSan heart hospital in San Antonio because I had had a heart attack. I was told at TexSan hospital that when anyone comes to an emergency room or urgent care experiencing chest pain, they are supposed to keep you there for a minimum of 6 hrs, taking blood every hour on the hour to test for troponin in the blood and that sometimes it could take upto 6 hrs before troponin shows up in the blood. I was in and out of there in just over 1 hr. I don't leave negative reviews. If I don't like the service or the product I simply choose not to go back to that place and give them my money. However with this one star review I believe it is necessary because it might save someone...

If my experience were not good was asked to contact them. I contacted them but was not satisfied. I am going to share my entire review over here. This Emergency clinic in LaVernia Texas was so far my favorite. I will still go there if I am not feeling good because I feel whatever bad experience I had was not because of the clinic but the Lady Doctor is the reason. I had high fever and shivering and body pain. I took Tylenol in the morning thinking that it would help. It didn't so I took it again in the afternoon. Still didn't help which is why I went to the Emergency Clinic. I have been to this clinic 5 or 6 times. They have saved my life. They have prescribed good medications like antibiotics etc which has helped me each time. Always I left the clinic feeling better but this time I left feeling worst. I mentioned that I took Tylenol which didn't help but the Lady doctor prescribed me Tylenol and IB Profun that too over the counter. She was not friendly at all instead she was standing far away from me like I was some untouchable. I couldn't drink water. I was so week. I told her that each time I drink water I threw up yellow bile water. Then she just prescribed me a nausea medicine. They checked for corona and came out negative. They didn't check for any other virus. The doctor whom I spoke today who was supporting that lady doctor said that I had virus and he said that that's what they prescribed. Which means what I have understood is that if you have fever, you don't have to go to emergency clinic. Just take Tylenol and save our money. Anyways long story short I paid $380 Co pay just to be prescribed over the counter medicine Tylenol which didn't work for me. How will I not be disappointed? We are going to the emergency clinic to at least feel better temporarily and then go out pcp doctor when we feel better. Maybe I don't know the meaning of Emergency Clinic. When I spoke to the doctor, he is not accepting lady doctor mistake. He is supporting her which is natural because she is his colleague but at the same time he should be concerned about patients too.
