Gave them my ring to size. Needed 1 size larger 5.5 to 6.5. Got my ring back and was so disappointed and on the verge of tears. The ring was visibly skinny where he had added gold and didn't add enough. The part that was repaired was a lighter color of gold leading me to believe 10k was used. There are soldering marks on the inside that made my ring uneven as in not round. There is 1 tiny crack and 1 dent in the repair area, one on each end. You could clearly see where he cut my ring, added the gold, soldered it and tryed to buff it. NONE OF THIS SHOULD BE VISIBLE. He refused to admit that any of this was visible accept for the one dent and the difference in color. He gave me 3 options, refund my money, (which after consulting with my husband I have decided upon), buffing it more, (which would thin out the already too thin filling), or charge me more money and reshank the ring, which means cutting it again and adding more gold that should have been there in the first place. I sadly would not recommend Traylors for ring repair or sizing. I went there with high hopes based on previous reviews and was excited to get my ring. It pains me to write this but i believe others deserve to know and be prepared should they choose this shop for repair of their...
Read moreI've known DARRELL and his wife since 1986. They had little kids then I was probably20 years old myself. They are the greatest.... people to know do business with,be friends with shop with. That's how I met them. They've come a long way since being uptown in a small rented place across the rd. On the corner from Mansours.you had to walk down 4 steps I believe to enter the place since then they were at the dead end street right past the laundry place (do you own or drop off) on Greenville Str. .Then I'm pretty sure he purchased the land and built his own place of business.About the pawn shop, he's a great wheeler dealer now his kids work for him.I used to think of them as straight up HIPPIES. MAYBE so maybe no. I'd recommend shopping with them for all your jewelry needs and gun needs. Its great service from down home fol and s. I would say go by Taylor's if for any reason your ever in LaGrange Ga. For any reason you will miss out on a sweet great deal if you don't drop by and tell them Kathi and Larry...
