Supercolor Imaging — Local services in Laguna Beach

Extremely upsetting. I will not dispute the quality as I have not looked at what I received. I am going through a divorce and my husband and I agreed I would drop off old photo albums and videos to digitally copy so we each had copies of them. I dropped my first batch and all videos for copy and told the owner these were not to be released to anyone but me. I received a call that the items were ready and to bring the next batch. This was just before Fourth of July . I attempted to go down to get them. Traffic Was over an hour. I called and let the owner know I would come a different time. He indicated it was not a problem. I was also traveling so when I returned, I drove down to get my items. I was told that my ex-husband had picked them up indicating he would give them to me. He never did and he told me he would not return them to me. The response I got from the owner was that my ex-husband paid for the copies . My response back “he paid for copies, not my originals”. I felt this was completely inappropriate. My response was emotional yes, but I have now lost priceless original Albums, I created decades ago.

Supercolor is a long establish retail store in the downtown, Laguna Beach. As a local resident, I appreciate that the store is always convenient and price competitive. The owner, Henrik and his staff have been together forever and are always eager to please and also put up with my often complex requests.

The photography and digital imaging technology is superior from the ease of use to the state-of-the-art affordable technology. They have it setup equally for vacationing visitors and for those of us needing that extra photo requirement.

I recently purchased two high speed 32 gig memory cards for my HDR Sony Camcorder. I questioned the price as seemingly too high compared to other retail outlets, which concerned the owner.

That evening, Henrik called me at home to say that my pricing comment was taken earnestly and therefore, he checked on the inventory pricing receipts after closing and found that the price was indeed miss marked too high. He enthusiastically asked me to return the next morning to correctly lower the price.

I have used Supercolor in Laguna Beach since 1985 when they first opened. I've brought all my business to them, and continue to do so in 2012. I've been a semi-professional photographer for many years, so I've needed lots of work as I don't do my own developing, and I've always been able to count on them and trust they'll do a fantastic job whether it's a rush job, enlargements of any size, etc etc. Henrik will bend over backwards to make sure you're happy when you walk out the door. I'm also a musician with limited computer skills, and Henrik has saved my rear too many times to count regarding photoshop and other digital work for fliers, cd covers, t-shirts, posters-you name it and they've done it and always do an exceptional job! It's a shame the rating numbers above only go to '3' as I'd give Supercolor a 10! They're also able to do things online so one doesn't even need to physically come into the shop-in a day and age when 'service' is almost a forgotten word,...
