I went to this store to purchase their airless paint sprayer. I missed the last sale where they have them for $165. I asked if they could match the few-days-old sale paper price, fully expecting that they couldn't, and I was right. Doesn't hurt to ask though. When I was checking out they asked if I wanted to purchase the extended warranty. As a rule I usually don't. I declined, and they told me their return policy had changed and without the extended warranty there is an automatic, unavoidable restocking fee of 20%. That's a bit much to me. I asked their store manager to pass that up the chain and she told me there was not much she could do. That response disappointed me and I told her that. Who else do I give feedback to if not to the store manager? She did reduce the warranty price to only $7 additional to the purchase price for me and I thanked her for that. She was courteous and polite, but I look at HF differently now. A 20% restocking fee is excessive. Even if all you do is just open the box in the parking lot and bring the item right back in the store, 20%. Gone. Not cool. This information is on the receipt but who looks at the fine print on receipts? I guess everyone should but I wasn't in that habit. Guess I am now. I think I'll be going to Home Depot more often and HF less often...
Read moreUnbelievable, we go to the “Grand Opening” to buy a toolbox. We see what we want, grab the top and bottom tickets. We walk to the register to purchase a tool box. Four employees are standing there and two of them look at us, but NEVER acknowledged us. We go to the next register and ask if they are open because apparently the other register they were busy chit chatting. We hand the 2 tickets to the lady, she plays on her register and says oh we out of those toolboxes. We look at each other and ask the lady then how can you have probably have 10 tickets for each toolbox (top and bottom). As the lady in charge walks away with another employee laughing and looking at us. Keep talking about your customers because word of mouth travels faster. #custmerservicesucks #wrongcolor #toolboxes #grandopening ...
Read moreGreat prices on the items you are in need of at the spur of the moment, and to replace a tool just for the inconveniences that being without brings us in the worstly timed moments ever! But in all seriousness, they have improved in the quality of the items in store for comparison to the top of the line items that are not so known to failure... But the price difference between the two is a lot to compare to... Anyway I love to just go there and look around at all the items, everywhere in the store, and I might not even purchase an item that I need, but rather get something to just play with back home, lol... Great sales in the news paper sell adds ,or online even. Bought a great floor jack that I paid next to nothing for, and it's the best item that I have ever bought through harbor...
