Golden Chick — Restaurant in Lake Charles

I remember seeing this establishment being built the last time I came to visit my fiancé.

A native of Arkansas, I was looking forward to trying out the menu. This is definitely Monique's Golden Chick because she made sure her store, as General Manager, was a Five Star Chick! Hope was our cashier and was a tremendous help and very courteous. The atmosphere was very organic, but since it wasn't during the busy lunch rush, it was very quiet, clean, well organized, and her crew were well mannered and attentive to the customer's needs. Monique made it her obligation to ensure that we had everything we desired and needed. The menu is plentiful with varieties of their specialty chicken. Our order was $60 plus because we'd decided to sample this menu and it was "golden." Everything was golden brown tasty, chicken strips were marinated, the dirty rice was flavorful with a slight kick...I could go on, but to say the least, Golden Chick needs a future locations in Arkansas! Stopped incoming from from Crowley on my way to Beaumont, It was 9.pm I ordered the roasted chicken and rice dressing! Lay Lay was the mangers name .I know because I asked her she had gave me such exemplary service! So Far, we've been extremely impressed with the fried & baked chicken. It's the largest pieces, most moist & naturally flavorful that we can remember! There was another place in town that I've vague memories of but it's been years since it was open. Now, I gotta admit that if your looking for spicy, you'll likely be disappointed as their spicy seems to be little more than a cayenne sprinkle. However, the regular fried & baked chicken is worthy of Sunday Dinner at Grandma's! We've only used the window service but from that viewpoint, the dinning room appears pleasant.
