Ordered drive thru. Wendys was backed up. Ordered hamburger, fries and drink, brisket sandwich and 1/2 a chicken. The burger was one of the best burgers I've had in Lake Charles and the fries were on point. The sandwich was well flavored but dry. Also need to ask for pickles and onions. The chicken (which i bought to enjoy later) looked delicious but unfortunately the dark meat leg and thigh were undercooked and red. The white meat was cooked and was really good. I still have one piece breast left and will eat later today. All in all, with exception of undercooked dark meat, The meal was not bad. Definitely going back for hamburgers.

P.s. to owner: my chicken was raw/undercooked. Bone was still red. Meat was bloody. I'm not much of A complainer as you can tell from my review prior to me editing my review but I've been eating bbq chicken and I bbq myself quite often(reason I've never been). I would rather have had an apology in lieu of "I" don't know my difference from cooked versus uncooked chicken. Not sure if I will...

My 341st 'cue stop in a 35 state odyssey brought me here for lunch. You order your meats first, and once you receive the plate, you move on to load up your chosen sides cafeteria style before finishing at the soda machine (coke products). A 2 meat (sausage, brisket), 2 sides (dirty rice, peach cobbler) plate with a diet coke ran a very reasonable $16.34. The chopped brisket proved lightly seasoned with a strong pink ring. The sausage was serviceable, the dirty rice terrific, and the peach cobbler surprisingly bland. If I was taking it home, I would add a spice to improve the flavor profile. The Texas toast is a nice touch. In sum, if you are in the neighborhood and hungry for 'cue, this is...

I recently visited BBQ West and had an outstanding experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly service.

The atmosphere was very friendly and warm. Now, onto the food – it was absolutely delicious! The barbecue was cooked to perfection, with a smoky flavor that was just right. I particularly enjoyed the ribs, which were tender and fell off the bone. The sides were equally impressive, especially the peach cobbler.

Overall, BBQ West exceeded my expectations in every way. Great food, excellent service, and a welcoming environment make this place a must-visit. I can't wait to go back and try more...

We decided tried Barbecue West on the Weekend and I was not impressed at all. The mac n cheese was soggy and I got a 2 meat plate with Chicken and ribs and the guy didn't even ask me if I wanted white or dark meat. Both of course I decided to give them another chance and the food was some what better. I still didnt really get that barbecue taste, but the green beans were delicious and fresh and the service was good. I'm still not completely sold on this Place at all. Maybe I'll try one more time.

On the night of 10.26.24, I tried this place for the first time with my boyfriend's review. I ordered the sausage and the brisket. The brisket was not seasoned, and it was cut a little too thick to my liking. The sausage was great. It had just come out of the smoker...and wasn't cold like most places serve it. The side of beans, rice dressing, and peach cobbler was very good!
