I purchased a Black Friday deal that included a massage, facial, and halotherapy. Iāve been to several resorts and had several massages and facials over the years. The price point is very much resort pricing with a very average experience. The check in girl Madelin gave me very little direction: āfill out the form, leave it here, and you can change in the locker roomā. I didnāt get a tour of it and couldnāt find a robe, the hand soap was out, as was the toilet paper. There are no slippers or sandals either.
Celine gave me a lovely massage. The heat packs were a wonderful addition although I never got asked about pressure but I still found it relaxing and enjoyable.
Facial (forgot her name) was pretty basic. The table was oddly short and Iām not that tall (5ā5ā). Basically 4-parts to the facial; cleanser, exfoliate, mask with neck and shoulder massage, and final moisturizer (I assume?). I wasnāt told what steps she was on. No extractions or steam usage.
After I finished my massage, the check-in girl took me to the halotherapy room. Having never done it, I didnāt know what to expect, and she just opened up the door for me without any real direction on what I was gonna be doing or experiencing. It was basically a Room of Himalayan salt and for chairs with Ottomansā you just sit in there. I donāt think I would have paid $50 for that if it wasnāt included in the deal. There was a vent that it sounded like some thing that was blowing into the room, and when I asked her what it was, she wasnāt sure.
As I was checking out, I was asked how much I wanted to leave for a tip. I know itās a small detail, but something like āwould you like to leave a tipā would have landed a bit better. Overall, for the price, the experience just landed a little short for me. Iām not sure Iād...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate - the Spa Manager reached out to me and did what she could to make it right. I felt she was genuine and I am comfortable going back to give them another shot. Will update again if I ever get back that way.
Original-I booked a 90 minute massage for my sister in law and an herbal detox body treatment for myself. My technician talked about every inappropriate topic you could imagine - during my very expensive, relaxation service.
When I met back up with my SIL she told me her full body massage wasn't that at all. She was told to lie on her back and was never turned over through the entire 90 minutes. She was never asked if there was anything specific he wanted to focus on. She said her throat was rubbed for a half hour. She also said her technician talked the entire time. Not asking her questions about herself but telling her her life story.
I asked reception if it's normal to stay on one side for an entire 90 minute massage, she looked at who the tech was and said, "oh, she's great". The receptionist didn't leave us an option to tip, so we had to run a second transaction (annoying) and then she tried to guilt me into tipping more than I wanted. Even though we were not satisfied and nothing was done about our complaint.
I am a licensed Esthetician and I own a small business providing services. I am appalled at this spa and will never recommend anyone waste their money...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI made an appointment for my 3 year old son who has amazing long, curly hair. I trimmed his bangs the night before and wanted the back evened out and a few layers in it. (I usually go to Elements Spa, but my hair dresser was on vacation and I wanted him in asap.) Btw, I HIGHLY recommend Elements Spa to anyone, they are absolutely amazing. Breann (?) was the girl who cut it. I explained exactly, "Don't cut his bangs, just even the back out and put a few layers in it." I even showed her a picture. She clipped up the majority of his hair and started cutting the back. She let down all his hair, combed through the back of his head and cut at least 5 inches off! I told her she was freaking me out, that that was a ton of hair she cut off. She reassured me that was just the top layer. Then she combed through his bangs and cut the same amount off!! When I told her I specifically said to NOT CUT HIS BANGS she replied, "Well you don't want him to look like a girl," and chuckled. I told her to just stop and take the cape off. She asked me zero questions during her "consultation" or during the 5 min she spent cutting his hair off. I left and didn't pay (they told me I didn't need to) and I haven't heard a single thing from them since š”š” Lesson learned- I will NEVER be going back and I will never recommend this...
