Ate here Saturday evening 12/23. It’s a big restaurant but not many diners yet when we went. So to my surprise we were seated in a 5-6 seater round table and it’s only 3 in our party. Why??? What’s the thought process in this? It’s just an awkward seating arrangement when There were plenty of nicer spots, tables, booths around! This already left a sour taste in my mouth. Felt like we were treated like second class. Just wasn’t fast enough to speak up to ask because the hostess was already gone. Glad our server saw we seemed discontent and annoyed in our seats. She offered if we would like to change tables. Yes—we moved to the empty booth just next to us. Food was okay. Seemed liked some were Americanized. They need more Mexican flavors incorporated. Got chips and dip. Their chips seemed homemade. They’re good however they put too much salt on it. Why?? Couldn’t eat some of it. Got birria tacos. They used wheat tortillas, instead of corn. And they tortillas were salty, as if they pan fried it on a butter?? The rice felt mushy. Something like you’d get from a rice cooker. It still tasted good. Beans were tasty too. My partner got fajitas-steak and shrimp. The dish 50% meat, 50% bell peppers. Lol. Again the tortilla it came with were white. I had frozen margarita. I barely felt the effect of alcohol. Hm? In all of this, the saving grace was our server. Staff/manager/owner? were also checking in on us during our meal. Nice to see them checking on the patrons. I understand they just opened-good luck.
To the hostess, please treat everybody as VIPs. Offer nice seats when there ARE...

I recently had a fantastic experience at The Classic Breakfast inside Cinco Niños at The Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Sandusky, Ohio. There’s truly no better way to kick off a fun family night than with a hot, hearty breakfast the next morning! The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming, with chefs eagerly preparing made-to-order omelets and attentive servers ensuring we had everything we needed.
The food was impressive—one of my favorite aspects was the variety offered at the different food stations. Everything was kept hot, and the best part? You can enjoy all-day dining at a reasonable price! I even had a delightful conversation with the chef who whipped up my omelet, which made the meal even more enjoyable. The presentation of the food was appealing, adding to the overall experience.
Service was top-notch as well! Our server was attentive, frequently checking in on us, refilling our water glasses, and assisting with any requests. Such great service makes a huge difference!
The environment, it was vibrant and inviting. The cleanliness of the tables and surroundings, along with the fantastic aromas wafting through the space, made for a perfect breakfast setting. I really appreciated the thoughtful decor and how each area was organized.
Overall, my experience at The Classic Breakfast at Cinco Niños was a wonderful way to start the day. I highly recommend visiting for a delicious breakfast that offers great value...
Read moreWe were looking for somewhere inside the resort to eat lunch yesterday. Three adults, two children. From the outside the restaurant looks very inviting. However, the lack of patrons should have clued us in. We seated ourselves because no one ever came. Several men saw us and were walking around. We were told we had to walk the ten steps to order at the bar for happy hour. We couldn't have that special included with our meal. Werid. But still ok. Waited for another 20 for someone to come with water and chips. Took another 20 to come back to take our order. Took another 40 min to get two kids orders of macaroni and cheese and three adult orders for simple tacos. The shells were cracking and thin. Your tacos went all over your hands when eating, the slaw smelt spoiled, and the rice and beans were cold and also clearly out of a cheap can. The food was bland. Our kids left and didn't even eat it. We said we would take it back to the room. They didn't package it up for us or bring us containers to do it ourselves. We asked twice. The food was stone cold and bland. Zero spices or taste. Everything was $25 on average. We left SO disappointed. I will NEVER eat here again or...
