Tom's Pawn Shop — Local services in Lake Jackson

If there was a rating lower than 1 star I'd happily select it. I've sold a few things at this pawn shop and at the various Tom's Pawn in Brazoria county, the staff are usually friendly but, they choose what they want to deal with and if it's something they dont want to sit and try to reach a deal with they will give you a very very very low ball figure of let's say $1-5 just to get you out the door. This has happend on several occasions, walk in with something that has no scratches, flaws, imperfections etc. And be told "We dont sell these items or we just dont want to look at it." Items that are worth money such as rings, electronics, and tools, all in working order to be told sorry we dont take these items when there is 2 or 3 on the shelf behind them. It seems that the people working there arent doing their jobs, nor are they inclined enough to take the time to look into the item, 30seconds looking at something not doing the proper investigation Into said item. I will never be going back to Tom's Pawn and I will be sure to let anyone who asks that yall are just here to take advantage of people who need the money from the items that they willingly bring in for a fair price to be walking out the door...

Absolutely hands down one of the best pawn shops! I had a rough spot come up and had to pawn a ring and never was able to get it out so it hit the floor. I called and spoke with the manager at the store to see if it was still there and he said it was the only problem is I was 7 hrs away I had to relocate I asked if I payed for it on my credit card could he mail it he said he didn't mind but it was against policy because of liability which I totally understood. He told me to email the owner or send him a Facebook mesaage so I did. He immediately got back with me and said he would be more then glad to do it for me. Thanks Brian Garret you are a really great person and buisness owner. This is not the only time I have had to reach out to Brian but he will respond back no matter what day or time. We were searching for a new bike for my sweetie and happened to ride by Tom’s just after 6 p.m. on a Saturday evening. We met Ana as she was bringing the bikes inside (it was closing time) but the bike we’d been eyeing was right at the end of the line. Ana kindly invited us to take a look anyway. I even got to take it for a quick spin in the parking lot before helping roll it back in with her.

Ana asked us to come back Monday for a better look and promised to help us find the perfect bike at the right price.

Sure enough, when we returned Monday, there was Ana, ready to help, and boy, did she deliver! She went above and beyond to get us a great deal and the perfect fit.
