Arthur built the most exquisite vintage engagement ring for my bride and he was a joy to work with. I first met with him having a picture and an idea. Him and his wife were gracious with their time, talking out the process to craft the most beautiful engagement ring. They happily shared their jewelry knowledge in order to do the right thing. They provided great choices and insight when I picked out the special gemstone, an ocean blue sapphire. When I returned to see the wax mold I could tell Arthur put thought into his work with pride. The final product was stunning. Arthur has years and years of honest, hardworking bench experience and it is quite obvious when you see the ring. He listened to me, added his wisdom and built an engagement ring that can be passed down for generations. Thank you Arthur.

We purchased a wedding band (it was a wrap) separate from the engagement band so we needed to have the rings re-set and sized so the engagement ring fit properly inside it.

I first brought it to another local jeweler in Lake Zurich. When I picked it up, I was mortified. My engagement ring now looked like someone stuck a gorgeous stone on top of a ring sizer. $500 later...it was flat, industrial, and didn't even fit in the wedding wrap.

THEN I went to Arthur! If I could do it all over again I would have gone to Arthur in the first place. Arthur took the time to talk to me to hear what I wanted and how I wanted it to look. He not only shared advice for what would work best for my rings, he also gave invaluable advice about what questions to ask as a customer to be sure that I was not taken advantage of again.

Once he began the re-design process, he made a wax model and had me come back in to look at it to see if I would like it before any changes were made to my ring. Once I picked up my newly fitted rings, I almost cried over how perfectly what he had created matched my vision.

Arthur is a true craftsman and artist. I am so glad I found him. I needed to have some major repairs done to my wedding set which ended up requiring the entire set to be remade. I went to about 10 jewelers in the area to get opinions and prices. Arthur was by far the nicest, most patient and most knowledgeable. He understood the sentimentality associated with the ring and worked with us to fix the set with the least changes possible. I cannot believe I'm saying this but his version is even more gorgeous than the original. I love it. My husband loves it. The detail and level of artistry is amazing. It was even done a bit sooner than he originally estimated which was a nice surprise. The best part? He was by far the least expensive option. He was approximately 1/3 the cost of all the other quotes while doing the most work to the ring. I'm not sure how he does it but he is a miracle worker. I cannot recommend him enough.
