New Kong Ming Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Lake Zurich

Horrible service. Called ahead for my order and was told 15 minutes. Got there and my food was not ready, not only that, there were NO COOKS in the kitchen preparing food and there were other customers waiting for foodnas well. The lady behind the counter got on her cell phone to call someone and next thing I see is 2 gentlemen coming from outside into the kitchen. They stood there staring at the orders that were hanging up to be made. NEITHER of them washed their hands before handling food. And when I asked for my money back because I didn't want to wait, the lady started yelling at the cooks in her native language and came running back saying 2 minutes. I told her no, my food will not be properly cooked in 2 minutes and demanded my money back again. She was very rude about giving me back my money. I used to go here all the time when it was under different owners and NEVER had a problem. I will never...

Do not order from this place! Even thou food is ok, the service is horrible, and not acceptable. I just called there, and still can't believe that they rejected delivery to my house, just because! Today according to the lady is too far!( It is exactly 10 minutes to get to my house). I would like to mention they did delivered here before. She asked me for how much I want to order, when I said I would like to order hot and sour soup, a large Mongolian Beef and a large Orange Chicken, she told me it is not enough. Minutes later( she started speaking Chinese to somebody), she asked me can I add some $$ because for both ways to my house will take 20 minutes, which is only 10 minutes away from my house. WOW!!! Oh and on the very beginning when I mentioned I want to order for delivery she was like: Delivery huh? hm..delivery..hm....

Ordered from this place because my regular place is closed for now and had tried 2 others that the food was horrible.This place the food was slightly better .The egg foo young was greasy and flat over fried.The gravy was thin and sweet tasted like teriyaki sauce .The rice they use is small grain like a minute rice not fluffy and long grain. The beef with pea pods was more pea pods less beef. The whole meal tasted flat no flavor.This is the better of the 3 places but all 3 were lousy food.Do not know if people who claim this is fantastic place to eat have ever had really good Chinese food from a place like the one in Island Lake but I hope when this virus is over Drive to Island Lake or order thru door dash from Hunan Gourmet if you want great...
