Starbucks — Restaurant in Lake Zurich

OK, I can understand the new menu, But what I don't understand is all the new people. I have been coming to this Starbucks everyday for at least 6 years. Every morning I order the same thing. The staff got to know me and the way I like my coffee. Now everybody has changed, and by that now I have to re-train the new people. They over fill my cup (even though I order it with room) then it spills all over the inside of my car. The new people don't listen to what I have ordered. What's with that? The staff use to know me, and made me feel important, now I am treated like just another number, and I mean $$, that's all. I really think it may have to do with the arrogance of the owner. She is hardly there and when she is everything is in disarray and uncoordinated. Not a class act when she is present. I have given this place 5 stars in the past but now they are only worthy of 2. Hope they can improve soon because there are a lot of places to get coffee and a lot of Starbucks out...

Have been to a few in my time, this is the one my wife and I call our home base store, All the barista's are very friendly, they recognize the return guests, and I have never had to request a re-do on a drink, never a complaint. I think that the difference is that the employees at this store enjoy what they do, it's not just a JOB, if that makes sense, there is interest in doing it right. I have been to a Starbucks in Falmouth Mass, Every summer, where 2 out of 3 times, I have to modify my drink in some way to make it ACCEPTABLE, which is wrong. They also have a sort of elitist aire, like they are the experts, and I should accept my drink as though it was expertly made. It's a recipe! Don't get too full of yourself! I went through the drive thru and ordered a latte and a $10 gift card and Jason (the gentleman running the drive thru at the time) was wonderful! Honestly made my day! He joked with me and made sure we had a great conversation, not just small talk. What really was great was I told him he could pick the gift card (after he asked if it was for a special occasion) but once I got to the window he let me pick not only the gift card but the colored sleeve it goes in!
