Luxe + Lash — Local services in Lake Zurich

I arrived a bit early for my appointment, and I was told the lash tech was running a little behind which I understood. However, she didn’t show up until more than 10 minutes after our scheduled time, which felt a bit unprofessional.

This was my first time ever getting lash extensions done, and I explained that I wanted a natural look. Once we started, everything seemed fine at first, but it quickly became clear the technician was still learning. Someone who I assume was her supervisor kept instructing her from across the room, and the entire time she was applying the lashes, she kept slightly opening the opposite eye she was working on with her palm and covering my nose.

After a little over two hours, we were done. I didn’t feel any burning right away just some discomfort I thought was from the tape and closing my eyes for a while. My eyes were watering so we had a fan on my eyes for a bit then I paid (over $100, not including the tip) and left. Later that day, my eyes turned extremely red and irritated. The next day, I found out I had a chemical burn, likely caused by her opening my eyes during the glue application.

I followed all the aftercare rules exactly like they told me but a little over a week later, I only have about two lashes left on one eye. I don’t think that’s normal for what I paid.

Overall, I appreciated the kindness of the staff, but I think it’s important for clients to be aware of the skill level of the technician, especially when it comes to something as sensitive as eyes. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t return or recommend this place based on my experience.

love this place! They offer great services and living in North Barrington. It is very close and convenient to get to with a lot around to make it easy to get to while running errands or to and from work!

When I went for my services, I was very pleasantly surprised with the beautiful jewelry And adorable clothing.

I would also very giddy to see an amazing line of natural products that I have never seen before! I am always ordering wellness and natural medicines online and it was great to be able to see these in person from a totally clean brand. I love all the amber bottles they come in, after Having the face wash used on me during the facial I absolutely had to take it home with me so I was so happy I could!

From the moment I walked into Luxe + Lash I knew my experience would be exceptional. The professional but friendly staff and comfortable environment immediately put me at ease as I settled in for a hydro facial with Dre. Being my first ever facial, Dre took extra care explaining how it would work, what to expect and to let her know if I felt discomfort at any point during the facial. She quickly demonstrated her expertise in facials and had a positive and calming bedside manner.
