Great store, wonderful sales people. Terry Michels was knowledgeable, friendly and kind. Made the whole experience painless! Since this review, we returned to buy coffee/end tables. We worked with Terry again. Another wonderful experience. Had gone to other furniture stores. Quality just wasn't there.
UPDATE: Had issues with the couch. Called and called. Finally told to take pictures so parts could be sent and ready for repair. And, yet, these pictures were never shared with the repair people. So he came out MONTHS after calls, 2 weeks later I got the parts, and in mid-JUNE someone will come back to install. I am less than pleased with this kind of service. I understand that getting furniture is difficult in these times, however, the service issue is HORRIBLE. Very unhappy with customer service.
And, the springs on the coffee table make the worst noise. Delivery guy said he fixed it. Lasted an hour. SO disappointed. Now I have to call customer service again. Probably schedule the repair for next year.
Update: Ended up having to return the couch. The fabric didn't last for months, much less years, and the lift mechanisms didn't work after a few months! Also had to return the chair as the lift on that stopped working, and the fabric was unraveling at the seams. Got one couch instead, no lift involved, "quality" leather, sewn together ok. Read moreDo not buy from La-ZBoy, the quality is horrible and the service doesn’t exist after the sale. I spent approx $4k on reclining couches. One month after delivery the plastic part that retains the spring for the foot rest broke. I called the store in killdeer IL, no answer, I went to the store with the docs from the warranty I purchased and they pushed me off to a service center. I spent several hours on hold and settled for txt service. I finally reached the service center who sent me to another call center. I scheduled service which took4-6 weeks, the tech completed his review advising that la-Z-Boy changed the design and quality of the part to plastic and he’s had 12 of the same calls for multiple models. He than advised it would be 6-8 weeks for the part. I received what I thought was the part yesterday, it was a couch cushion and not the mechanism needed to fix the issue. I’ve called the store, no answer, went to the store they were very rude, called the tech center I’ve been on hold for an hour. Went the txt route and they advised that they have zero record of the tech visit. Called again and they advised the 2nd time the repair was complete. Read moreWe purchased a glider from the Lake Zurich location approximately 5 years ago. Within months of delivery it began squeaking terribly. We spent hours going back and forth with La-Z-Boy reps to arrange for service. A technician was sent and we were told it needed a new rocker assembly. We waited months. It arrived and another tech returned to install and within months it happened again.
After going back and forth again and another tech visit, we were told it was a bad design and they sent a chair to replace and allowed to keep the old one. Five years later both chairs began squeaking terribly, we have tried lubricating ourselves to no avail.
The sound both chairs make is intolerable so we tried to call service again. After multiple calls to service and no call-backs (automated call-back service was terrible) we finally reached a person. We were told it would cost $160 per hour for a technician to service the chairs (parts not included). Very unsatisfied with La-Z-Boy quality and there is no excuse for 2 identical chairs that are only a few years old to have the exact same issue. Inferior product, poor design, and unsatisfactory...
