I have been to Cooper's Hawk in other cities a few times BUT, I've never experienced CH in the way that I did on Sat. Sept 10, 2022. First when we walked in there was a young lady to greet us with a great big smile and a ball of energy. Once we gave her our reservation, we looked to the left and saw a man waving us over, George was his name. This was my first wine tasting and George taught us a lot. I learned how to hold a wine glass, make bubbles and clean my palette and understand the difference between red and white wines. The reason I became a member is because of George. George made me want to experience drinking wine more. The flavors were good and the bottles looked really pretty. Also, Ian and Irma engaged with us at the wine bar as well. They offered their input about the wine tasting and shared some great information with us.
So now we are led to our table by Jayden who was talking to us about CH, asking if it was our first time while walking in front of us to our table, talk about talent, she was very engaging. Sat down and was greeted with an infectious energy, our server Memee. So Memee was the cherry on top of our lovely night. She knew the menu, she gave us suggestions, engaged us with conversation while handling all she needed to do. I even watched her take care of her other customers at the tables and the same energy she had with us, she had with all her tables. The food Memee suggested was AMAZING!!! ALL THE FOOD WE HAD WAS SPECTACULAR!!! I cannot wait to go back to eat more food!!
We had the honor of meeting a few great team members in the kitchen, one that stands out in particular is Chef Danielle (is what I call her) she is an amazing woman and cook and I heard so many great things about her. It was also a privilege to have Executive Chef Angela come to our table to meet us. Leo, who brought us our wine, was very friendly as well. One of the things I loved is how you can see the kitchen from the dining room. What an awesome visual to look up and see the white and black jackets/shirts on everyone in the kitchen. The ambience in the entire restaurant made you want to order more food and wine, it was a comfortable time to chill. This place has character. There were so many others I met including Malorie and Jose and I had the same impression of them all, the training here had to be amazing because it showed the different personalities of all who worked here. OAN the Ice Wine, I think that is the name was FYER!!! Very smooth, cold and it was almost easy to drink the entire bottle.
So there you have it, I am now a Cooper's Hawk Wine Member and I will be taking full advantage of the wine tastings and will eat here again soon. Thank you to everyone who contributed to our fabulous experience. It was something I truly needed. Oh and let's not forget that this location has only been open a few weeks and they run like a well oiled machine who has been open for YEARS!!!
Cheers to my next time!! Thank you...
Read moreEDITING May 2025 - We have been guests and wine club members for many years at several other locations. Updating Service score lower, as my most recent visit to this specific location was not up to par. I was at a larger table of ladies (7 of us) and our waitress was a bit short with us and not knowledgeable on a few basic things. We did involve a manager at a point, as there were a few mistakes made with different guest requests, additionally misinformation about the wine club, which 2 of us have and were given a bit of a hassle about. It was just not super pleasant and a bit unnecessary for attitude and unwillingness to redeem tastings for glasses with dinner. I’m unsure if the policy with that has recently changed, but even when something was honored in this visit, I ended up getting comped for a wine tasting later. Hopefully this was a one-time off night for a newer employee, as normally our visits are top-notch.*
We were just here for our anniversary about a week ago. As always, the tasting room is super welcoming, and everyone is very helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed our dinner as well, and were offered complementary glasses of blanc de blanc to celebrate! I was quite surprised and certainly didn’t expect that, as we’ve been coming to various Cooper’s Hawk locations for anniversaries and special dates for about 12 years. But it was a nice touch and our waiter was super friendly! Delicious food, too! Pretzel bread is addicting. I always enjoy the trio of medallions and Betty’s Potatoes. My husband loves their jambalaya! Drunken shrimp and flatbreads are super tasty. Salads are great and the ahi tuna appetizer is probably the best I’ve had anywhere!
Always our go-to restaurant for dates and special occasions, and this location is new but much closer to our home so it’s even better! And joining the wine club is a must! While reservations to dine are not required, we highly recommend them to ensure you get in and eat more quickly! It gets busy, especially in the tasting room. And if you want to do a tasting, plan ahead and leave fairly ample time before your reservation so you’re not rushed to...
Read moreI wanted to share my recent experience at Cooper’s Hawk, as it was quite disappointing, especially since it was a special occasion to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday.
We arrived for our 7:00 PM reservation and were excited to make use our new Wine Club benefits. However, after 40 minutes of waiting, our waiter informed us that our food would take longer due to a large table nearby. We tried to be understanding, but as we noticed another table, which arrived 15 minutes after us, enjoying dessert, our patience ran out.
After an hour, one of the managers came up to us and informed us we would have to wait another 20 minutes since apparently the waiter had not placed our order and that was why our food was delayed. He mentioned the waiter was new. Keep in mind, this was the second excuse we were getting for our food being delayed. My boyfriend and I paid attention other three tables who arrived after us and they were all ordering dessert or about to leave. Unfortunately, we couldn’t shake the feeling that we were being treated differently, particularly as we were the only guests of color.
After another 15 minutes and still no food, needless to say we began feeling frustrated. We hadn’t even been served bread. My boyfriend and I just wanted to leave. We called the managers over and they were understanding of the situation. They were just bringing our food, but since I was in tears, we had to take our food for to go as the moment had already been ruined for us. My boyfriend and I could not possibly stay there to “celebrate” after being discriminated against. I won’t be renewing my Wine Club membership, for obvious reasons.
I hope you take this feedback seriously, as it reflects the importance of equitable treatment for all guests.
