tasty food, you'll enjoy depending on what experience you want to have. Visited on a Friday night, and even with a long line, was very quick to place my order and pay for my food.
If you're not familiar with Zupas, it's Panera-meets- Chipotle's assembly line. The sandwiches, salads, and soups (which you must request in that order) have a defined list of menu ingredients, and you are not able to make substitutions. Add ons cost. I get that for proteins, but an extra $1.38 for croutons and cheese on my soup is excessive.
The menu displays health info for every item, and food preparers work to make sure that's what you get. Portion scoops are used for everything they serve. They ladle out a heaping amount of quinoa for a salad, then level half into the container. Use a smaller ladle and let me feel like i get my money's worth :)
Same for the soup. My to go container was only 2/3 full, and it felt like i was getting ripped off, but that's the amount he poured in every container.
Seating is extremely tight in the middle of the restaurant. Our table nominated one person as the gopher because not all could get out easily.
Prices are about 25% more than Panera, and since food is ready by the time you pay, you receive fewer personal touches.
Spring for a soda if you dine in, their specialty fruit waters and...
Read moreWorst experience I've ever had at this place. I always order online for pick up through "Fast Lane" I've never walked in before. Today I order food for my daughter the same way I usually do. Go through the fars lane drive up only to be told my order was for in-store pick up. Puzzled, I asked the guy to recheck my order as I received a text message like I always do stating my order would be ready through Fast Lane. He informed me that there was nothing he could do as the fast lane is for online ordering only. I kindly told him there was a mistake, I tipped them well, and I'd like to pick it up through the drive up. He rudely told me sorry. I would have to park and come in to get my food. I parked, walk in, only to see him 5 feet away from my "online order". He couldn't be bothered to walk 5 feet to grab my order and serve his customer. His attitude was horrible, his customer service skills were lacking, and I'm super frustrated that I was treated the way I was from a reputable establishment like Cafe Zupas. I always tip nicely and rarely experience an issue with an order from this place. However, the guys attitude was so dishonorable I felt the need to write this review. Get a new job! The customer service industry...
Read moreNot sure what the big deal is about the good life lane but this issue has happened to me twice. I have placed a previous order for pick up through the good life lane (on the website it allowed me to select this option) and as I went to the window to get my food I was told the food is on the shelf for you to come in and pick it up. Had to go park and head inside during a downpour due to this.
Now today I placed another order and did the same thing. I selected good life lane and pulled up to the window.. not sure who trained these employees but he told me I didn’t place it for good life lane on the website as it’s not possible. They finished making my food and told me my food would be placed on the shelf for in store pick up as the coworker was holding the bag of food behind him. The guy I dealt with at the window then told the coworker to place it on the shelf for in store pick up and closed the window on me instead of handing me the food.
I enjoy their food but not interested in dealing with these simple issues the employees seem to make a big deal out of. Just go grab my food and I’ll be on my way. Could be an issue with the website. Either way, it should be...
