My fiancé and I had a very poor experience here. Let me first say the staff was friendly and never rude (which is the only reason I went two stars instead of one). Unfortunately, it's all downhill from here. I called on a Tuesday to make an appointment for the following Sunday and was told "No need for an appointment, just come on in."
We show up at 11:38 (eight minutes after opening), are measured immediately, and then proceed to stand in line for a legitimate fifty-five minutes before reaching the desk, where we had the following exchange:
"Do you have an appointment?"
"No, when I called earlier this week I was told we didn't have to make one."
"Ok, then I need you to fill out this form."
We fill out the form (which we could've done during the fifty-five-minute wait), the gentleman enters it into the system, and then tells us we need to wait for the lady who is just wrapping up with another customer.
Once finished, she calls us over and apologizes for the wait. To be clear: she was pleasant and friendly the entire time. That said, every 30-60 seconds she would stop what she was doing with us to help the other desk worker with what he was doing. I'm certainly sympathetic to newer employees (I sincerely hope that was the case, as he needed help with almost every task) but at the same we'd already been in the store over an hour.
We ask about a blue suit and she shows us one option. We then inquired about a lighter blue and are told they only have this one. It's more than a little frustrating that Men's Warehouse only has one shade of dark blue as an option, but ok, let's try it on and see how it looks.
"We don't have that one here to try on."
She then offers a black suit to at least see how the sizing/measurements were. Shirt and jacket were good, pants fit perfectly. We then have the following exchange:
"Ok, these pants are great, fit well, feel good."
"We don't have that size. We only have (I forget the names, bear with me) baggy or skinny."
"…I can't just have the style I'm wearing now?"
"No, they're either be baggier or skinny."
At this point we just wrapped things up and left without putting a deposit down. Hands down the worst suit/tux rental experience I've ever had. Needless to say, we'll be taking our business elsewhere.
Update Men's Warehouse reached out about this review and asked me to email them directly. I did so and received a stock reply, followed by an email with a survey "Tell us how we did!" Very...
Read moreWe used this location for our wedding. Some of the guys who needed suits were in other states, so we wanted to make sure they all got the same thing when they went in to get fitted. My father in law and the ring bearer went in to another location to get fit. Turns out, this location didn't put these two on the list for the wedding party. They also put in the wrong color vest. So we had to deal with that.
Fast forward to a couple days before the wedding. All the suits were to be picked up at this location. All of them were ready ... except the grooms'. Somehow, his, and only his, had the pick up date changed to two weeks after the wedding. So the groom didn't have his suit. No one could explain how this happened or offered anything to fix it. They said it would be overnighted and they guaranteed it would be there at 8 a the following day. (The day before the wedding.) The next day we get a call saying it isn't there yet. We go do some other errands. Then my in-laws are eating nearby and see a fed ex truck. We don't get a call. An hour after they see this, we stop by. No one was looking for our suit in the boxes. No one had any idea what was happening. The manager who was "dealing with it" had left and not told the employees there that this was a priority. They eventually find it in the last box after being asked multiple times to find it. None of them seemed to care.
The next day, at our wedding, my father in law tells me him and my husband had to change jackets because my husbands was too small. We had told the employee the previous day it seemed tight and he ignored us. So I had to call the store DURING my wedding to tell them they messed up again.
This location was the only problem I had during my wedding planning. They messed up everything from start to finish. None of the employees communicated that this was urgent. None of them seemed to care to make this right. I would never recommend this location to a bride, since they made so many mistakes from the get go. Steer clear of the location, everyone. They don't care about your special day and will not make haste to correct...
Read moreAlright, at one point I gave this place 5 stars and questioned everyone else's bad experiences. But now I know exactly why it should be low.
The first time I came here it was great. Dustin really helped us out in a pinch and we got some great deals. So, when we started planning a wedding we decided to go with them for the groomsmen's and the groom's tuxes.
It was a disaster from beginning to end. First, we made an appointment and then received no help for over an hour. When we did they handed us some swatches and asked what we wanted - offering no help whatsoever.
Then three days before the event arrived, we realized one of the tuxes had been sent to Fort Collins by mistake. They told us there was absolutely nothing they could do and we just had to go get it. So we did, for a total of five hours of driving and collecting during a family vacation/wedding week. The groom's tux didn't fit at all, and their response was a callous, "Well, you're fat." So... when he was being measured everyone failed to mention they didn't rent shirts in his size and showed no sympathy in the situation. (Despite it being possible for us to buy shirts in his size at the store normally and the window ad claiming they go up to a 9xl.) Had they spoken up when we came in initially we would have had time to arrange something. Since it was last minute there was a big group effort with pins and tape to make him look okay. The best man also had issues since they gave him a vest in a size 5x and a shirt in a 1x. Neither fit and no one at Men's Wearhouse at any point thought this order was weird. Luckily they could at least get closer with his clothes so that he wouldn't look ridiculous.
I will not give Men's Wearhouse another dime or...
