Mulberry Salon 7/13/20 I had set the appointment and was asked that prior to arriving I could wait in my vehicle until called in. Due to Covid regulations and changes in standard operating procedures I would need to be wearing a mask at all times and have my temperature checked. The salon hadnāt missed a beat in as far as protecting themselves along with their clientele as it felt very reassuring.
So I walked in with my mask on thinking nothing of it but a haircut. As a middle-aged man with long hair I only needed a trim and a cleanup for timeās sake. Thatās where I ran into Victoria. I gave her a brief description of what I was looking for then gave her the keys to my haircut and said, ā...let it fly.ā Meaning, I just wanted to allow her creative and professional insight to do the rest for me.
Well, Victoria soared above and beyond my expectations by walking me through each creative decision with a logical explanation for instance sheād say, āOk Iām just going to trim here now to eliminate some volume so it doesnāt get too thick and puffy back here when its dry...ā And moments like that during the process again gave me assurance that I was being taken care of. Victoria certainly knew what she was doing and had been doing it for years...(15 years I believe she told me as I had asked).
Bottom line sat right with me in the end. This place could charge way more if they wanted to in my opinion simply on the base standard of excellence they commit to. It was a terrific experience at Mulberry Studio and if you folks ever read this, thank you for making my day shine that much more brightly. Cheers,

Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve never really had a really bad hair service here but I will say I think theyāre letting stylists on to the floor too soon. My last appt here was clearly with a new stylist who did not know what she was doing. Instead of asking someone, she disappeared to go watch a video on how to do it. Came back and practically botched my bangs. Iām not super picky and I have a lot of patience so this salon has kind of just become my back up. Not a place Iād recommend but a place Iād go to if I couldnāt get in with family members (licensed cosmetologists). Either way, it will no longer be my back up. Their customer service is HORRIBLE! I work at a prison on 3rd shift, I was called to work mandatory overtime which encompassed my appt time at the salon. The chick on the phone told me their policy is 24hrs ahead to cancel/reschedule but she was going to give a one time curtesy and not charge me. Although this was out of my control, I understand policy and thanked her for doing that. She told me a next available appt for anything or with anyone would not be for 3 weeks out on 11/07⦠her attitude suggested that she was pissed and annoyed that I had called last minute to cancel. Mind you, I am not allowed to have my phone inside the prison and I had to ask my supervisor to step outside to make that phone call to let the salon know. This was also 3.5hrs in advance of my appt time when the salon had just opened. I responded with saying Iāll just go ahead and cancel for now and in the middle of me saying ābut Iāll call back to resc-ā she interrupted me and said āk thanks byeā and hangs up the phone. Iām not sure who pissed in her Cheerios but maybe next time she should use milk. Or just not work in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have to share this story because I'm honestly surprised that this happened. I had a haircut and color consultation appointment for June 8th at 4:15 pm. I waited over 25 minutes before walking out. I'm a very understanding person and I get that things happen. However not one person in the salon came up to me to apologize or to even tell me how much longer I was going to have to wait. So I walked out with no cut or style and no consultation. I did call the salon, and leave a message. I explained what happened, and I did say the manager could or could not call me back. I would think as an owner of a business they would at least call. It was truly disappointing to see that level of customer service from a place like that. I was honestly looking forward to continuing my haircare there.
Update- the owner of Mulberry salon finally responded to my review I left on yelp. I am absolutely flabbergasted at the lies that the owner just told me. Thereās cameras in that place and I hope the owner takes the time out to look at the cameras from that day and time and see that what she was told was lies. I was definitely disappointed that I was never contacted to at least get an apology, but even more disturbed that the workers of that place actually lied as well. The owners response was pretty alarming as well. I never stormed out of the salon, but according to workers there I did. As if to say, I donāt have a right to be upset that my appointment was 30 minutes late.
