Que Sabor! First time trying out this Mexican restaurant and I was surprised. It has decent reviews but I was surprised because it has been a while since I had some good Mexican food in the AV from a sit-down Mexican restaurant. I have had to resort to taco trucks for the right price complimented by the right flavor. As soon as I sat down to eat, the chips and salsa were on the table and the server was ready to go. Speaking of the server, I compliment the gentleman for his speed, I hadn't seen a server move like that for a while. He was very polite and his customer service skills were great. So like every Mexican restaurant I tried, I needed to try the chips and salsa and an Agua Fresca, I tried the horchata here, and let me say, it was very delicious. I always try this because it sets the tone for what to expect from the rest of the meal. It's like going to a Korean restaurant and trying the Kimchi, if they can't get the basics down it's not looking good. Let me tell you, the horchata was so good I had to grab one to go, tasted fresh and the sweetness and cinnamon flavors were well balanced. I was shocked at the flavors, I just kept getting happier as the meal progressed. I asked for three carne asada street tacos, the #22 Chile Verde, and the Huevos con Chorizo. I was happy to take pictures of the meal but sadly i could not add them to this post. I was very happy, the tacos came with their own salsa but I still added the salsa from the chips and it was delicious. This was the first time I didn't ask for Tapatio or Cholula to help enhance the taste because the flavor was there. I like the atmosphere because the friendliness and professionalism of the staff from the server and manager/business owner was excellent. It was quite refreshing to have an experience like this, I just wish other restaurants were performing the same. I plan to be back very soon and I am hoping to try the chilaquiles, the tamales, and...
Read moreI always get al pastor tacos here. They are the best in town. The other food here is good too, but al pastor is just on another level of amazingness here. They are also generous with complimentary chips and salsa, even when you order to-go. I really like the red salsa they use for the al pastor tacos, but I don't like the red salsa that comes with the free chips. They should just use that red al pastor salsa for all of their red salsa. It is kind of small inside, so if you go during busy times, you may not get a table. Also, if you dine in, they can be very slow in service when they are busy. That's also a result of them making everything to order (aside from marination and soups and stuff). Prices are very reasonable too. You can't mix and match tacos and they come in 3's. Not a problem for me though, I just get 6 al pastor tacos...
Read moreLady was very nice but the level of disappointment with my order was unreal were a family of 5 and just recently moved near by and on the hunt for a New Mexican spot we decided to try this place out. In this case I insisted my shrimp cocktail have no onions, ordered 4 burritos that are very small but cost about $13.00 I ordered no cheese on them along with tacos and a carne asada salad long story short my bill was about $94 and I have to just express that I might as well have throw that money in the trash. When I got there I asked the lady no onions on my cocktail right? she said no onions, come home to 4. Burritos with cheese, onions on my cocktail and the meat is flavorless with a lot of fat/tendon on it. To say the least first and last time we come here but to each their own I see some good reviews...
