I had a Sprint device that I got a T-mobile SIM card for after the merge. The plan I'm on with Sprint is called Kickstart and I haven't felt compelled to switch entirely to T-Mobile. However, I found out about T-Mobile's prepaid plan called "Connect" and decided to try it out as a secondary phone for my household. So I opened a prepaid plan and got a new phone and new number. My hope was to use my old number on the new phone and new number on my old phone. I figured it should work since they are both technically T-Mobile, right? I tried switching the SIM cards and my old phone took the new SIM fine but the new phone couldn't find service with the old-number SIM. I texted T-Mobile and they didn't think it would work. Then I called them and the guy said I might need to unlock the new phone but then when he realized they were both T-Mobile SIM cards he said it should work and suggested I call from a different phone. I decided to try a store and see if in-person help would do the trick. I went to the closest store and the guy there said it wouldn't work because it was a prepaid SIM. He even said it would work if I was coming from a different carrier but that these two T-Mobile plans' SIM cards couldn't be switched. And if I got a new SIM I would end up with a new phone number. I went to another T-Mobile store but it was too busy. I went to a third T-Mobile store and they were slightly busy but the workers were cheerful and super helpful. The lady who helped me out, Michelle B., had an idea of how to make the switch work and about an hour later my hope was a reality! She didn't take the easy route of saying it couldn't be done. She knew her stuff and how to make it work (it did take one more new SIM card but I got to keep my phone numbers!). Thanks to the awesome team, especially Michelle, at this T-Mobile store that says "Yes, we...
Read moreSprint is a scam, especially this store. I spoke with a representative named Julius who seemed more focused on clocking out and getting his last commission quickly before the store closed. I upgraded to an iPhone 8+ and Julius told me he would give me a clear phone case and screen protector free of charge which was a lie. I had to deal with a nightmare after the fact because I was told I signed an accessory contract and added insurance to my bill. Supposedly I was getting a Visa card to cover the accessory which I was never told and never received. They are all nice and smiles in the store because they know they are getting over on you, and can’t wait for their bonus check. Julius was so worried about making his commissions, he conned me into all of these extra charges. Why would I ever pay $84 for a cheaply made phone cover and screen protector? 2 hours and 4 representatives later on the phone I finally get the charges removed and they treated it as if it was a “courtesy” to me when really I wouldn’t be in this situation in the first place if it wasn’t for this con man Julius. I pay my phone bill on time each month, not once been late, and I still have a horrible experience. If I could give 0 stars I would. I would rather pay for a prepaid minute phone at this point with all these surprise charges Sprint loves throwing on...
Read moreThe service at this location is abhorrent!!..of course I'm upset but I have taken the time relax and think about what happened. So if you need your phone repaired 1st go online and find the location yourself because I didn't and got sent the the wrong store by another sprint store employee. Not cool but fortunately it was close by. At the second location I walk in and they address my presence immediately just like the 1st store did. The gentleman at that store was kind enough to direct me to the correct store. So I arrive at the 3rd store. I walk in and I see everyone's kinda focused around some lady who'd there complain about insurance issues. Well I stand there a while and finally I go over to an employee and ask what I need to do in order to get my phone repaired. She then started to sign in. Ok cool. Then after waiting 15min a different employee tells me it's going to be 3-4 hours just for someone to write a ticket and take my phone into custody..well..turns out you need to make an appointment..well please why didn't someone address my right when I walked in and ask what they can help with...then i would have told them..then they could ask do you have an appt and I would say no I dont can I please make one..instead of all the wasted time..I wish the employee at the very 1st store would have told me about the...
