Five Below — Local services in Lawrence

What an AWFUL experience at Lawrence ks five below! I don’t know how this girl got hired but she has the worst attitude and just acts like she’s miserable at her job. 10/29/2024 she was working closing shift and as soon as we walked in it was “WE’RE CLOSING IN 30 MINUTES SO HURRY UP.” If I wasn’t there to pick up last minute Halloween items for my CHILD I would have walked out immediately but I excused her behavior. HOWEVER, 15 minutes before closing she comes up to my partner and says “we’re closing in 15 minutes so HURRY UP.” And just throughout our experience in that store she makes her presence known that she’s frustrated with us for even being in the store. A LOT of items far above $5 and mostly plastic junk overall. Candy prices are no bargain. Drink prices on par with a quik shop, quality of products d+ far below avg. Being as this is one of the most successful chain stores in the country right now, that shows you that we, as Americans lust for low prices and care far less about quality or supporting local. Sad situation but fun experience. Tween girls are their target and by reported numbers on the corporation, they've got both of their hands in the girls pocketbooks. Some items are marked OVER 5 dollars lmfao when it’s literally called 5BELOW!! Let’s also not forget to mention that majority of them employees should NOT be working at 5 below. 1 of the employees had her back turned to us the ENTIRE time we were checking out and turned her back to us when she gave us the receipt.
