Mass Beverage — Local services in Lawrence

hello, everyone. Me + my boyfriend have been coming to this liquor store for months now, it's been good on prices+variety! But unfortunately I will not be coming back to this location EVER AGAIN! Me + my boyfriend went into this liquor store we we're both walking around looking at their selections + my boyfriend accidentally knocked a bottle off of the shelf that was poorly placed next to a shelf full of wine. Well the glass bottle obviously broke, + we got the cashier at the time her name is "Brio" (Short girl, long dark hair, dark skin) We called her over to tell her my boyfriend accidentally knocked it off of the shelf + her first response was that she didn't care it wasnt her problem + we would have to pay for it before we leave. We tried to explain that he didn't do it on purpose, it in fact is placed in a awful area. She continued to tell us she didn't care + we would have to pay for it before we leave even pointed out signs in the store that say "if you break it you pay for it" then we proceeded to walk to the register to pay for it + she thought we weren't going to pay for it + just leave she then followed us so fast to the register that she almost stepped on my shoes. I will never be coming back to this location again, it was the worst customer service i have received from this location + Brio...

The owner an elderly woman of dark complexion had little to zero product knowledge, was not proficient on how to use her computer to help me, I suggest going to the store after 3pm as the employees, both experienced and new have more practical knowledge than she did. I expect every business I frequent that the owner should and would be the most knowledgeable and proficient person of the store. Strongly disappointed with her lack of understanding.

If you frequent this store, go after 3 where you will be better serviced.

Accidentally broke a bottle on one the shelves they had on display. It was pretty low and I hadn't noticed it as I was browsing. They made me pay for it even though it was purely accident. A tiny little girl named brio came over and proceeded to tell me I had to pay even though the bottles were placed in such a convenient spot. Great way to ruin customer loyalty. I will never return here and I will be spending my money some where's else, I was a frequent customer too. Well, I hear there is a bigger selection at cork'n...
