I went to this Plato’s today to sell my clothes, and like always they didn’t take any of the items in my one big trash bag I brought because they’re “out of style” when I see people wear the same type of clothes all the time. The workers were nice to me and so was I to them, it was a good visit until I was in Woods Cross getting messages from Plato’s Layton saying they were looking at the cameras and basically accusing me of stealing someone else’s bag. I replied with a few messages confirming that I initially picked up the wrong trash bag, but when I was waiting for my brother in the fitting room I realized it had someone else’s name on it, so I put it back in the pile of other people’s bags and looked for my one bag with my name on it, and left the store. No one was responding so I called them twice, and I got sent straight to voicemail each time so I texted them once again. Minutes later I got a message and call basically telling me to come back to the store to figure things out and get me to bring the stolen bag, which I did not steal, and then threaten to call the authorities on me because I “wasn’t reaching out to resolve things”. I even pulled over to look in my trunk to double check I had the right bag. I did, it had my name on it and all my stuff they didn’t take. They called me again and I agreed to drive over 20 mins back to Layton, despite me being on a tight schedule. On my way I got a call from them again saying they messed up and figured it out. I was very frustrated because they said I didn’t reach out and respond, when I did many times and because they accused me and threaten the cops involvement with me for something I didn’t do. So thank you guys for wasting my time, money and gas. Next time look at your cameras more thoroughly before drawing...
Read moreThis place is an absolute joke, I dropped off clothes last night at 7:45pm. The lady helping me said you’ll get a text please sign it’s adding you to a log that you’ll be able to see when items are completed. I signed, and left didn’t think anything of it. Got a text my items were ready, was out to dinner and had just been seated tried calling the store and didn’t get an answer, thought i’d just come back in the afternoon today and pick them up. Got there, got my $ for some of my items, asked if i wanted to donate or pick up the rest, I wanted to donate half and pick up the others i had 10+ pairs of american eagle jeans name brand hoodies and all sorts, went to the area the lady said my items would be and they were not there she went and asked another girl came back to me and said “we donate every night so since you didn’t pick your things up we donated them you signed for it” asked for my basket and work bag i brought them in in and she said “that would’ve been donated as well” Instead of saying hey i’m sorry you weren’t told about this, let me see what we can do if we can track this down, anything. She said absolutely nothing, was so rude about it. Never once was i told about this policy, or given a piece of paper to see that myself, nothing.. Communication is an absolute joke, someone should go through a training with these employees and explain the importance of letting customers know the policy’s before hand, or give them a written copy so we can read it ourselves. 100% do not...
Read moreI'd give this place a zero if possible. I attempted to return two items that didn't fit, but one item was missing its tag (likely fallen off in my car). The manager refused the return, citing store policy, which was understandable. However, when I offered to reattach the tag if found, she declined. The dress still had the store's distinct scent. What bothered me was the manager's unprofessional behavior afterward; I overheard her discussing me with another employee as I left, making me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I returned to the store with the found tag, explaining how it likely fell off due to the dress's delicate material with small holes all over. Despite demonstrating how easily the tag could be reattached, the manager refused to accept the return, responding with a smirk and dismissive tone. I felt embarrassed and frustrated. The experience was worsened by the manager's unprofessional demeanor, reminiscent of teenage gossip. As I was frustrated by her unwillingness I thanked her and she said "for what?" my words got stuck as I stared at her laminated Owl looking eyebrows I said for not being helpful and she laughed and raised her voice at me telling me to HAVE A GREAT DAY! To potential customers: be cautious with purchases, as returns may be challenging. Be aware of the store's strict policies and...
