My cousin and I showed up to eat on May 22, 2020. Well for starters they had us wait in the car. They said the wait was 20-30 minutes and I had to go remind the hostess that the time was up. Well once we were seated we waited 10 minutes and no one had even approached our table to offer water much less take our order. I had to get up and go look for a waitress. The waitress who turned out to not even be our waitress took our order and our real waitress took another 10 minutes in showing up. Why they were so behind is beyond me since they hardly had people in the restaurant tables were empty and there were only about 4 other tables with people that i could see. But she said they were running slow. So 10 minutes later she comes out with our fries. 10 minutes after that with our onion rings and tells us our wings will be 10 more minutes. 20 minutes later still no wings no checking up on us no offering water or drinks. I finally saw her and called her over and was nice enough to pay for the fries and onion rings and we left. Buffalo Wild Wings doesn’t respect customers time. They obviously think everyone who walks in has all the time in the world to just sit there. All totaled after being seated we waited for 1 hour for our order of wings which never came because we left. It’s ridiculous to wait for an hour after being seated for an order. Who wants to eat their fries then 10 minuets later their onion rings. No the order needs to come out together the wings and the sides. We got no apology no offer to give us our wings to go nothing. Buffalo Wild Wings customer services is horrible their management at the Layton Utah restaurant is unprofessional. I for one will never be back and I encourage everyone who reads this to never go back as well. If you’re understaffed, dealing with covid 19 I get that and I understand but at least have a professional attitude. Send a waitress by to offer a drink order send a manager over to apologize for the delay. Does it really take 1 hour to make 30 wings. Nothing was offered nothing apologized for. Rude and...
Read moreI honestly am DONE giving this place my business, for good. The employees here (including their manager) obviously have no manners and do not care about their customers AT ALL. I have been going to this location for YEARS trying to give them a chance, but I have finally drawn the line in the sand with this place. Every time I come into the Layton BWW, I get a really slow, careless waiter/waitress that doesn’t care about anyone that is surrounded by them. The worst part? The food. I LOVE BWW boneless wings, but the Layton’s wings are awful. They’re cold, hard, dry, and gross. I also got carrots my last visit and they were old, black, and soggy. I have never spoken to a manager about any of my problematic visits, until today. As soon as the manager approached my table, I immediately began to be very honest and forward about my visit today and past. He was very rude to me and my friend, which have given this facility HUNDREDS of dollars over the years, and told me the reason for this is because they make “6,000 Wings a day” and said ignorant stuff like “I think we’re actually doing a pretty good job so...”. Like??? I waited in the lobby for an hour, waited for my food for another 45 minutes, the LAST thing I needed was nasty cold food. He did offer to remake the wings or to refund - which I obviously chose to refund. BUT - HE WOULDN’T REFUND OUR DRINKS. We had to pay the insulting $3 for soda. Never been treated so poorly at a restaurant and by its own management so badly before until today. I will never continue to give this facility my business. I’d rather drive the extra 20 minuets to Riverdale, where they actually care about their customers and quality. The managers name is Sean/Shawn - however you spell it. I am making sure to let corporate and customer service know of this horrible and utterly disgusting facility, as if someone...
Read moreI'm going to start this off by saying I love bdubs. I've always been a fan and think its a top 5 wing place in Utah. I've been going to this location since opening weekend in 2012 or 2013. Saying that, this location has gone down hill. When I first started going here, it would've been 5 stars.
The service is really hit or miss. I would say more often than not, the servers are really nice and accommodating, but you can have a pretty bad experience every once in a while. Overall, I'd give the serving staff a 4.5 out of 5.
The food is what really hurts this place. The food comes out cold more often than not, no matter how busy the place is. I always order wings and a side of Salt and Vinegar fries. The last 3 times I've gone, the fries have been cold and there is almost no flavor to them. Typically, my wings have sauce on about 1/3 of the wing, the other 2/3 of the wing is dry. On the off chance that they get it right, the food is great! I'd give the food a 2/5.
Forget ordering take out. I live just across the new overpass, so it takes me all of 2 minutes to get home. Even if I order, get there right after I order to wait for my food, and then take the food out to my car and open it, the food is cold. Thankfully I have a fully functional Microwave at home. Its typically done in the 10 minutes the website tells you it'll take, but it feels and tastes like it's been sitting there for 30 minutes. Takeout gets 1 star.
If you're feeling lucky, I'd say go for this place. If not, I'd try going to a different location.
P.S. I'm not looking for any sort of compensation, I just wanted to voice my opinion. I will continue to go to this location due to how close it is to my home, and if the food gets better, I will...
