Plain Janes & Co. — Local services in Leavenworth

Seems like only yesterday that I placed this rather large order. Here it is today, double wrapped securely and neatly. This was my second order from these guys. They tempted me to come back with a nice handwritten note and coupon. I can’t resist a coupon. I ordered two reproduction bundles, one fat eighths, and one fat quarters. Both are neatly cut, wrapped and hand labeled. And the fabrics are top shelf. I ordered a few pieces for backings. I can’t bring myself to use a plain backing, so always glad to find great prices on “fancies” for the backs. They also have a nice selection of patterns, traditional, modern, seasonal and whimsical. Best quilt shop in Kansas! I went in for fabric and almost came out as a human disco ball. The colors are so bright, I needed SPF 50 for my eyeballs. The kits are so eager to be made, I swear they almost followed me home and started sewing themselves. They sell quarter-yard bundles too, which is perfect for my commitment-phobic relationship with fabric (seriously, I ghost full yards). And their shipping? Lightning fast and cheap—cheaper than driving, unless my car suddenly learns to run on quilt scraps. Five stars, and I didn’t even have to adopt...

Placed an order with Plain Janes & Co. on Sunday and received the fabric on Wednesday. It was shop cut and nicely packaged. Can’t ask for better service!!!

The fabric is a half yard bundle of Andover’s Cottage Cloth, a relatively new blender. The fabric is beautiful and I would describe as absolutely gorgeous jewel tones and standard basics.
