To who it may concern. I was shopping last Saturday afternoon (October 17th) in your Town Center Store in Leawood, KS. The sales person told me I could not wear an FDA approved face shield, but needed to wear a mask. She offered to bring me one (one that she and others had probable touched and was to put it over my mouth and nose). I understand that folks are trying to create a safe environment, but we need to stress the understanding of science to best to achieve this effort. The non-permeable face shield come sterilized with instructions to re-spray with alcohol before each use. It protects your mouth, nose and eyes and prevents you from touching your face while wearing it. I am not suggesting that everyone choose this method of protection. It is more expensive and certainly less convenient to carry with you. But telling someone not to wear it and offering to hand them a mask is scientifically incorrect…and whether intended, came across as rude. Hope you choose to train your staff...

This location has poor customer service. The sales staff are unfriendly, rarely smile, and only give you attention if you appear to be wealthy. I have actually experimented with this. Once appearing in the store decked in pricey JJill attire and another time dressed very casual. Guess which outfit garnered the best service? Such silly persnickety behavior as I’m sure the salespeople aren’t paid a yearly 6 figure salary (as are, according to research, most of their customers including myself). Plenty of staff but do not expect to receive much help. Three different women took clothes to the fitting room for me, yet no one was around when I needed another size. Had to get dressed again and go find it myself. Two women were at the registers when I was ready to pay with one other customer in line.
