Unless you're wealthy, there's no reason to step foot into the PowerHouse Mall. I was much younger when the PowerHouse Mall was built, and it was a novelty back then, however, it was still designed for the upper class. To me, the PowerHouse Mall is located in the wrong town. West Lebanon is a working class town and, in my opinion, the vast majority of West Lebanon residents cannot afford most of the price tags in this mall. I know I can't, or WON'T, shop here. It's ridiculous how expensive all the shops are, and as much as I love LL Bean (the flagship store of the PowerHouse Mall), I can only purchase LL Bean items after they go on clearance. The LL Bean store located inside this mini-mall doesn't seem to have a clearance section, and rarely has sale items. Honestly, I just want people to know that the PowerHouse Mall is definitely an "upper crust" shopping center & unless you intentionally want to spend a hundred dollars on a 5-year-old's outfit [that they will wear, what? Once? Twice? before they outgrow it??] or $75 on a bottle of infused olive oil, my suggestion would be to drive right past the PowerHouse Mall & go down the street to JC Penney or Kohl's for children's clothes (adult clothes also), or go to the LL Bean store in Concord, NH for much better deals (I've bought a number of sale & clearance items at the Concord store at amazing prices), or to any number of shops & department stores in West Leb. When they built the PowerHouse Mall all those years ago, they should have erected it about 6 miles away in Hanover, NH, as everyone knows that Hanover, the home of Dartmouth College, is where all the rich people live. Those people are the only ones who can afford to shop at the...
Read moreI entered Eastern Mountain Sports and was told to leave or put on a mask. When I explained I have a disability that prohibits it I was told to go to board meeting and take it up with them. There was no offer of assistance of another option. Nothing. Just an under paid arrogant worker that felt it acceptable to speak to me at the top of his lungs when I asked how he was going to accommodate my disability. You wouldn't stop a service animal or ask someone to leave their prosthetic at the door. So why should I risk my health? American Disiability Act is very much a real thing. It is a shame I wasn't even offered an option to pick up at the door. Human decency needs...
