I love my new puppy! The staff was so helpful. Since Texas Puppy store owners/employees(Jason) are not helping me I have decided to post a heavy review on my experience for everyone to see what type of family owned business this is and hopefully to prevent someone from going through something similar. I bought my puppy Nova(Shih Tzu) from Texas Puppy Store on May 12, 2021 for $3284.49. I was given a $25 discount for a “good” google review (offered to all buyers hence the good reviews) which is why I put edit for this new concluded review. I signed a contract which states that if your puppy is sick within the 7 days from the purchase date the store would cover all expenses from the veterinarian. I took Nova to an emergency clinic on May 15, 2021 a couple days after the purchase date because she kept on wheezing heavily and was coughing and gagging very badly. She was diagnosed with kennel cough a highly contagious upper respiratory disease that is transmitted from dogs in close living quarters(breeders, puppy mills) that can turn into pneumonia if not treated in time. I sent my claim to the store through email and was assured by Jason on May 19, 2021 that a check of $216.52 would be sent out within 10 days. It has been 43 days and Jason/the store have stopped answering my emails and callbacks about my claim. He states he’s sent a check but I have not received it, it would have been cashed by now Jason. Honestly at this point I don’t really care about the $200 it’s more about principle, the principle that they are trying to screw me over. I just want to put this out there and try to prevent someone else from going through this headache because this business cannot operate morally and ethically.

We walked in wanting a retriever, they had some other breeds, like golden doodles and a sheep dog that we just weren’t sure of, the owner as well as the Manager were pretty knowledgeable about their puppies, and we finally decided to meet a couple, I liked a doodle that was a bit smaller and looked more retriever, and my wife found a bigger one she likes that looked more poodle, so we met both, we sat for about 10-15 minutes with both pups and fell in love with the wife’s choice, the warranty and contract on these puppies are phenomenal, the owner did warn the puppy may have a runny nose, and ours did, the vet checked him out during his health check up, and it was just a seasonal allergy type thing so we will let it run it’s course and he has seemed to started getting over it, the vet was impressed with how nice looking he was and how great of shape he was in, he fit in perfectly with our family, and the manager called a couple days later to see how we were doing with him, and he has acted the exact way they said he did, so it makes me feel so wonderful that we chose a store that cares for each individual puppy so well, that they know the characteristics. We named him TR “Texas ranger” and when we are ready for a new member will choose Texas puppy store...

I visited yesterday and yes all the negative reviews are true. I went in just to see for myself and honestly I’m surprised they are still in business. This was probably the most stressful and depressing place you can buy a puppy from. Going in I thought it was going to be joyful experience but instead all you felt was utterly misery. First the store isn’t really a store. All they have for sell is the puppies and dog leashes. They have 2 puppies in fish tanks and the rest in little glass boxes on the wall. For some reason there were 3 employees there, that weren’t doing anything but standing near the register gossiping not even trying to interact with us. Thirdly when asked about the French bulldog about how much, she the employee proudly said $5,000. Yes you read that right $5,000 for the little French bulldog. Who on earth decided to price those puppies at those prices. It’s really sad that they force breed those poor puppies and sell them at those extreme prices. I really wish stores like this would get shut down. Please adopt and not shop. There’s 1000 of puppies and dogs who...
