My friend and I went in on a whim because we're from out of town but love anime and were shocked by how much range the store had. Theres actually a lot of little anime stores in Texas but this was the first one that felt like it wasn't selling AI generated or stolen art from online and it had popular animes like Haikyuu, Jujitsu Kaisen and My Hero Academia to smaller fandoms like Persona, Hamtaro and others that i've only seen in passing but didn't know the names of.
They didn't have a lot of the stuff you find at Box Lunch or Hot Topic like full figures & branded merch, it was more like keychains, stickers, gacha items, folders, plushies, stuff like that, which was refreshing. Love that they let you shop for yourself without retailing you. Best part—tax is included in...
Read moreThe location has some really nice little finds and even sports a couple of nifty art supplies and a lofty BL section. The guy we met on first visit was very nice and helpful, happy to chat and even introduced us to the shops art club discord. Strangely enough after joining we returned a few times and we're excited to chat about the art club and talk shop but the other owner was manning the shop and would never acknowledge us entering or chat and ask if we need assistance. They kind of just stayed on the computer the whole time chatting and browsing the web, it gave the feeling that we were imposing so we would leave shortly after entering. We keep coming to try give this spot another try and seem to keep coming on...
