I haven’t been able to walk. for four years. Now I haven’t been able to feel like a woman or anything. I haven’t been able to like myself or want to look at myself. Even in the mirror. I finally picked up the courage and stopped being embarrassed. of the way That my legs looked. I prayed of God and I asked him to guide me to the right place. I got on Google and seeing Chachas on there, I had never heard of it in my life I seen it was located downtown and at first. I was like now. This is gonna be too much for the parking and getting in there. And I can’t hardly walk. Not even 20 steps, but I called to make my This wonderful person answered the phone. I let her know what was going on with me and told her that I probably wasn’t gonna be able to get inside of there. She assured me that it would be no problem that they would accommodate me, however, they could. well, I had heard that for many places before I didn’t wanna believe it. Really but something kept telling me go every time. I would plan to do something. I would cancel it at the last minute, just for the embarrassment of my legs and the pain that I would go through. I’m a very picky person when it comes to my hair very and I liked stuff done the way I want it when I got there. They let me park in the very back right beside the back door. Even though many people didn’t park there. They came out the owner herself and got me. As well as the girl, who answered the phone. When I got in there. They were making sure that I was OK. I got into the salon and I looked around and I thought. Oh my goodness. It wasn’t something that was all fancy and Well, it was fancy, but like almost like the old time fancy absolutely fell in love. It was so I can’t explain it. I guess Homie. I was so comfortable, even though there was many people inside, mini Stylist in the owners, which just come up and talk to you. They wouldn’t act like they were better than us or anything they weren’t leaving Their business for just a manager to run it while they went and did other things. They were there making sure that their customers were OK. They would bring you water and coffee and drinks that you wanted and it wasn’t in the paper cup. They brought it to you literally in a glass or a cup of like I was so surprised that That like it amaze me. I really did. They brought me into the chair to where I met my Stylist, who was absolutely amazing. They were also beautiful and polite, and just so down to earth. They understood everything that I was saying, and not one person looked at me or stared at my legs. They looked at my face into my eyes and made me feel like a woman instead of somebody who was going through what I am going I want to. Thank you so much for everything that you did for me. My hair is absolutely exactly how I wanted it and more. I actually get up every morning now. And look in the mirror and say wow this is who I am. You brought my spirit back, you brought me back to life. It is absolutely breathtaking there, and it is absolutely touching. And I just I can’t. Even find the words to express how I feel right now. I hope that this makes sense because I am not typing. I’m using the voice That types for you. So anyway, thank you so much. Chachas and God bless everyone of you there. And if you don’t go to Chachas . You’re absolutely crazy. The prices are spectacular. I couldn’t believe after how much they did for me. The price that I paid. And I bought products there and I’m talking about shampoo conditioner styling stuff I mean, and didn’t even still pay a lot. It was amazing. Try it. You’re gonna love it. It’s gonna be forever for you. Thank you so much again. Ladies that Chachas , and the owners because you definitely have my business forever....
Read moreMy experience wasn’t a very positive one. The hairstylist that was supposed to work on my hair didn’t really know what she was talking about, nor was she very cultured nor experienced.
My hair is naturally dark almost black and has a straight-wavy texture. At first I told the stylist that I wanted to dye it jet black during our consultation, and she booked me for an appointment. I then call back a day later and tell her that I want more of a chocolate red brown color with brown highlights, and she says that she can’t do it because my hair was “ethnic” and too dark.
This response confused me, as no one had ever described my hair as "ethnic" before. Throughout the consultation, she repeatedly mentioned "ethnic hair" and even suggested that the haircut I wanted might not work because the person in the reference photo had “white girl hair.” It felt odd and that she made assumptions about my hair’s texture based solely on my appearance as Latina, without understanding that ethnicity and race are not the same thing.
In reality, my hair texture is quite similar to what she referred to as "white girl hair." Her assumption that my hair required special treatment simply because I’m Latina was ridiculous. Newsflash straight hair is straight hair no matter what someone’s ethnic background is.
I ended up going to another salon and my hair lifted in a matter of minutes without any issue, and they gave me exactly what I was looking for. I wonder if the stylist at chachas would consider white women with curly hair to have ethnic hair lol It would be funny if she actually believes that working on a white woman’s curly hair would be easier than my fine straight-wavy hair.
Edit (replying to the salon’s reply): I never stated that I had boxed dyed my hair a dark color, as I always get my hair professionally done at a salon. What I told the stylist (who clearly doesn’t pay attention) is that I wanted to achieve a specific hair color that I used to get years and years ago when I USED to box dye my hair. Also, obviously the stylist wasn’t going to write “white girl hair” in the notes because it’s something she said during conversation. Lastly, what you guys offered me wasn’t what I wanted. I sent you guys several photos of the brown red color with highlights and you guys told me that the stylist could only lighten it like 2 shades and that she wouldn’t be able to do highlights, which is ridiculous. Anyways, clearly that stylist doesn’t have much experience considering the new stylist I’m working with had zero issue doing what I asked for. Actually, your stylist has been the only one to ever think that what I wanted was not doable. I read her bio on your website, and it states that she specializes in blondes. Maybe she should just stick to blondes and let the people with darker hair colors be seen by other stylists. It...
Read moreI had the best first time experience at this salon, really, in my life. The salon is very busy but cool, everyone is so friendly and helpful & they make you feel comfortable and welcomed. I’m a little bit older so I thought maybe the salon would be “too cool” for me but in fact once there I didn’t feel that at all. The first time visit includes a consultancy so they really sit down and they have a survey you fill out online to make sure you’re lined up with the right stylist then they do that again once you’re there and you’ve talked to the stylist so they really want to get a feel for who you are before you get there and then they get to know you once you’re there & what you want so there’s really no guesswork that you will get all your questions answered and the service you want and the best quality. I met with Lacee and she was awesome! Attentive, informative, and really good at what she does! She listened to exactly what I wanted and executed it to the tee. Now you are getting high quality services so it is a bit on the pricer side as far as I’m concerned, in what I have paid in the past at other salons, but like I say it was the first time visit (3 hours for me) so there is added cost for the consultancy & I did buy product as well for the first time visit. So future visits I’m sure my cost will be a bit less as its to maintain. Especially if you’ve had trouble finding a good salon with good people, I really can’t recommend Lacee & Cha Cha salon...
