The team at Kendra Scott Fritz Farm goes above and beyond. They aren't just good at what they do, they are incredible human beings. Yesterday, I went to the store with my 13-year-old cousin, who unfortunately lost her dad just a few days prior. We wanted to pick out something special to remember him. We explained what we were looking for, without the back story, to Lindsay (an Assistant Manager). She helped us pick out several options, listening to my cousin's reactions to each option and helping her land on two beautiful necklaces. During the shopping process, my cousin shared the backstory of why she needed the necklaces urgently. What Lindsey did next was nothing short of angelic. Lindsey quietly started pulling together a few gifts for my cousin. She picked out a necklace, earrings, and bracelet with her father's birthstone. She wrapped them up and handed them to my cousin as we were checking out. She did not do it for show or recognition, she just knew it was something she could do to help a hurting little girl. When we walked in, no one greeted us — not even a glance. We browsed for quite a while, and not a single employee approached us. Meanwhile, other customers (non-Hispanic) who walked in after us were greeted immediately and offered assistance. The same thing happened when we left — still no acknowledgment.
I’m not saying this to make it about race, but as Hispanic women, it’s hard not to feel like we were being completely ignored while others received friendly and attentive service. It felt uncomfortable, and honestly, unacceptable.
The store itself is beautiful and I’ve always liked the brand, but the customer service at this location was lacking. The employees could definitely benefit from some training — not just in customer service, but in treating every guest with the same level of respect and hospitality.
