Please do not support this shop these people need a lesson in how to treat people let alone customers. The owners and employees at this shop are rude and condescending. They assess what you are wearing when you walk in. The lady that greeted me the first time I went there actually looked me up and down with a sneer on her face... it wasn't like I wearing rages... I guess Calvin Klein is not prestigious enough. They greet you with crossed arms.... I never saw even a slight smile. I also notice that when I moved from room to room I was followed and they would pretend they were rearranging things without really moving anything. ....LOL like I'm stupid. Really? The first time I visited this shop was last Christmas, I thought maybe I judged them too harshly so I decided to give it another try, since they're the only shop in Lexington that carries the designer I was looking for, low and behold nothing had changed!! Like a complete replay from last year! I'm a firm believer in supporting local business but I will gladly drive to Saks in Cincie to get...

Let me tell ya, I love everything about this store. The owner is absolutely wonderful. I told her about my crazy work hours and she offered to come in at anytime if I needed an outfit for an occasion when I can't come in during regular hours. I had a outfit emergency right before the derby and every single employee helped me to find the right dress. All the girls are so sweet and not to mention the beautiful selection of clothes! It doesn't matter if I'm buying a new wardrobe or just one dress, they always make sure I'm helped and happy. There are a lot of boutiques in Lexington and a lot of them make me feel self conscious or make me feel like they don't want to help me. Usually because I'm in yoga pants and an old t shirt with old tennis shoes lol but Monkees has NEVER made me feel un welcomed. I am in town for the weekend and a friend recommended I come and look for a fascinator here for Keeneland so I did. When I asked the sales rep Eleanor if they had any she said they were in the back & she would have to go get them she asked did I still want them.. I told her yes,I did. She acted aggravated that I asked her to go get them. She also told me that I didn’t have to wear one for Keeneland.. I told her I knew this but I wanted to wear one. She acted extremely irritated the entire time my friend and I were in the store. The customer service she portrayed towards us made me feel like she thought we were “less than”. We were wearing sweat pants and sweat shirts because we were getting spray tans after.. but she clearly was judging us on our appearance. My family owns a business and thrives on custom service and this would be Unacceptable!! I will NOT be shopping here again and will NOT be recommending it to anyone! One bad apple can...
