I went one first time one month ago. They made my hair perfectly. Then I went again one month after. They didn't know which color I had, or what I did to my hair, they didn't keep record of anything, so I had to decide again cause I didn't remembered the exact color. Then, the lady tangled my hair with the dye, was splashing red color all over the place, the floor, etc. she didn't have it under control as she pretended to with her fake smiley face all the time. The water she used to wash my hair was boiling! It was super hot ans she didn't even ask how I was doing, she was so busy talking to the other ladies in the washing station. I put up with the pain While it lasted, then I finally got the hair cut and the drying. My hair is very thin, so it tangled again. She kept pulling it and said: " if it hurts, let me know" but she was pulling it all the time, I just wanted it to be over.! I endure it till the end, but there's no way in hell I will go to thy place ever in my life. It's expensive and the service is horrible. At least that blonde short lady. Lorna...
Read moreI had my first cut with Katie and I absolutely loved the experience. Katie was great about checking in frequently throughout the cut to make sure it was what I wanted. I also loved how she and Andie styled my hair and went home to many many compliments! After a few days, I decided I actually wanted even shorter of a cut and the salon was great about getting me in and giving me one of my favorite hair cuts yet! I loved this experience with Katie and Andie and absolutely plan on returning!
An update several months later: I returned to JMAC and saw Andie who now has her own chair! She was absolutely great and catered the entire experience to my hair. She consulted with me throughout the cut and gave a suggestion of "invisible layers" which ended up looking great and taking away some of the weight of my hair! I love what my hair looks...
Read moreMy sister recently went to this salon and saw Ashley. She saved up to get a color correction for months and even went in to get a colsultation and was quoted $175 at the most. Today when she was finally finished, her hair was black and not light brown like she asked for. Not only this but she was charged $195 and the explanation we were given was for a shampoo and blow dry even though during the appointment my sister asked if a style would increase the price and was told no. I don’t understand how you can be charged for a shampoo when your hair must be washed to rinse out the product. In my opinion this place is very overrated and they took advantage of someone who was too young to understand. Now that her hair is black I don’t see how she is going to get the balayage...
