Dunham's Sports — Local services in Lima

I'm giving three stars which is hard for me to do, meaning I'd love to give 5 but I can't. I love their deals fully, gun accessories, ammo, and the like are always reasonably prices and often on sale. Plus, their apparel is on sale a lot, as well. Good quality, great names.

My issue is with the employees. They're rude, dismissive, and only once have a had one that was friendly, and she didn't even take care of me (almost ran me over with a stocking cart, she apologized profusely, not a big deal, I got a laugh from it all).

But when I go in, they're act like you're bothering them, for instance I went in last night, bought two boxes of ammo, got went to the counter. Guy rings me up, just drops the boxes down on the counter, and pushes me on my way. I asked for a bag as I don't want them to fly off the seat of my car if I have a sudden stop, and have ammo rolling around my car. He bags it, and just drops the bag on the counter, acting like it was a major problem.

Other times when I go, my card sometimes declines because I tried running it as credit. They act like it's a big deal to try to rerun the card. Once one of the male cashiers said "it declined, sorry. Have a great day". I said let's try again, this time I ran it as debit, and it went through, though their system takes forever to authorize or process.

Sadly, there aren't many places in town to buy ammo as a reasonable price but this store, but I really wish there was, I would probably...

Shoe section is completely ransacked. Everything is out of place, sales aren't well marked if marked at all. Shoes are all out of place and torn apart like it hasn't been organized in days.

Tried to pick out a pair of soccer cleats for my son. I picked out a pair where the display shoe was directly above a sign that said $50. When we brought it up to the register it rang up for $80. I told the cashier (who was very polite) they were labled $50 and she called the manager. The manager told us that the tag was meant for a different shoe and wouldn't budge no matter how much we showed her the stuff was out of place. She actually used the section being destroyed as her reason for not giving us listed price. When I pointed out it was her job to make sure the store was in order not mine, she just shrugged.

I have 3 children in sports and all 3 need equipment throughout the year. I'll be finding another place to buy it from now on. Very disappointed.

Called about a problem, wanted corporates number, instead Sarah tried to help, well I was calling to complain about her in the first place for doing nothing to help at all in a return situation and obviously that went great. She accused me of yelling at her, I informed her I’m autistic and struggle with speech tone and she got quiet after that so I decided to hang up that the conversation was essentially pointless and that I would find the corporate number another way. My fiancé went back up there to try and return it again hoping maybe she’d be more helpful and while she begrudgingly assisted him with the return she berated him about the fact that I “screamed” at her on the phone.
