I came here looking for a prom dress , when I came in I was looking alone for a while and came and asked for a little bit of help. When I picked up a dress he asked what size I wore and I told him Iâm not sure but I wear medium or large in regular clothes. Then I picked up a slip dress and he told me âyouâre not fitting in thatâ and eventually gave me an XL (which I thought dresses were number sizes) to try on. When I came out of the dressing room I was just going to leave because the dress was way too big in the mid section and way to small in my butt area. He told me I would either need to size up or âlose a fewâ before prom. He also said this IN FRONT OF ANOTHER CUSTOMER! And said I should go to the gym etc which I replied with I go to the gym every night. Then the older lady(customer) told me to cut all sugar, fats and carbs out of my diet. Maybe they were trying to help but Iâm a 5â2, 165 lbs, 18yr old girl. And no girl should ever feel the way I felt leaving there. As a teenage girl you have stripped me of the Confidence I had left. I also work in retail and I would NEVER say that to...
Read moreI went into this store with my good friend. While I was trying on dresses the older employee took one of the dresses off my rack and handed it to a customer asking since I âobviously wont fit in a mediumâ if she could try it on. This other customer is twice the size I was she was just shorter. I was raised to be respectful, and didnât want to make the other customer uncomfortable so I agreed. The older lady proceeded to go through my other dresses and made me extremely uncomfortable with the fact my body is curvy with a wider rib cage. I am 5â4 and 155lbs at 18 years old. Body shaming is completely unacceptable in retail, I am disappointed and disgusted at the fact this place is still in business. The dresses are not made for curves, at all. I went to a separate store and they took one look at me, said I was a medium, and the dress fit me nearly perfectly. The employees need to learn some manners before...
Read moreMy 18 year old daughter came here looking for a prom dress. She had several picked out to try on. She said an older woman employee took her dress from her and handed it to another customer saying something like Are you sure you're a medium? this won't fit you. And went through her other dresses. In front of the other customer. And then proceeded to let this customer look through dresses hanging in the area my daughter had them hung to try on. So she left after the dress she liked had been taken from her hands. Apparently it's ok to fat shame teenage girls who already don't have enough to worry about in high-school. Disgusting. But she found a gorgeous dress at another store from a very nice employee,...
