I've always enjoyed golden corral. Definitely not for it's healthy choices in food though. Last year I saw a bug, not sure of its type, but resembled a small roach. I stopped eating there until today. Decided to give them another chance. In my 1 hour visit. I saw an employee eating bowl of cereal in the omelet prep area, talking to another employee while cooking an omelet. Then I saw the same employee eating a plate meal in the main prep area, while talking to 2 different employees. I believe employees are not supposed to be eating in the prep areas. This wasn't in the back where I saw it through an open door...it was right out front where they prep/cook the food. Multiple times I saw other employees in the prep area using the same gloves to use a dirty towel to wipe down tables, and use the same gloves to prep more food. I just saw a cook place tortillas on the grill with bare hands. I realize most of these actions are autonomous, and unrecognized infractions on their part, but nonetheless, not sanitary by any means. Lastly, I saw a customer get a piece of pie with their gloved hand, then pick a piece of pie off the serving blade with her un-gloved hand, and pop it in her mouth. Then, place the blade back under the pie on the counter. Utterly disgusting on their part! The employees should also not have their phones at their workstations. Its been tested and proven that our phones have more germs than a toilet seat. Sadly, this will be the last time I consume food here. Alternatively, my waitress was very good. On top of her game, and apparently we'll liked by...

I told her that he didn't need rewards he is a new member she started yelling at me she didn't care she wasn't using the code they had no scanner. My husband said I'll talk to a manager and get it and she got rude I told her give my card back I wasn't eating there! She started mouthing off we was walking away she was yelling saying I was wrong and waving bye get it out! Nobody was yelling at her I tried calmly explain what the code was! My husband decided he wanted to talk to a manager so he went back in and asked her to get her manager she completely ignored him so he stopped someone on the floor they got one. She started yelling at my husband you don't tell me what to do and continued to yell at the manager and that person got another manager who told her to shut up! They were sorry she give us money off to eat our meal and he said no it wouldn't work between her and his wife! They gave 5 dollars for our coupon getting expired. I will never go here again I hope this rude lady gets fired for...
Read moreLet me start by saying that I am not a regular review writer. I am also not a super picky eater.
Food: Not impressed. Much of the was cold. Nearly all were mislabeled or missing a label completely. Fried fish fish undercooked. Many selections were overcooked and dried out. Grill? We arrived around 5pm on a Thursday, there was nobody working a grill. As we were leaving there was. After being disappointed with the several items I attempted to eat, I wasn't willing to try the desserts. Maybe that is where they shine, but I doubt it.
Atmosphere: Place was a little dirty and dated, but note hateful. There was this buzzer/alarm that went off every 3-4 minutes, lasting 1-2 minutes each time. It was loud enough that you couldn't carry on a conversation while it is going off. On top of that, I will assume it was the manager, kept getting on the PA telling everyone "what a great job they were doing" and then telling them what needed to be done, like wiping down this or cleaning up that. Seriously, does the whole restaurant need to hear this, get off your butt and go talk to your employee personally or do the job yourself.
Service: Not great, not bad. Drinks were filled and table was cleared in a...
