Usually a decent place but I guess Saturday-night staff is being supervised by someone who wants to be everyone’s friend except the customers. The place was a mess, they were blasting the most ratchet rap music in the kitchen. Sticky floors, no juice in the machines, overflowed trash, messy food display, etc.
Worst part, young man making the burritos was really in need of customer service training. He rushed our interaction and did it with a low mumble tone. I couldn’t hear him well and asked him to repeat what he said, his body language and facial expression was nothing good.
Worst of all, when he started making my order, after the rushed intro, he laid the rice down and I noticed he quickly placed a bay leaf into my burrito before placing the beans in. He tried to do it with slight of hand and I was shocked he did that. I was taken back but kept my composure for the sake of being with my wife. He shouldn’t be working with customers and especially with food service. I believe his actions were with ill intent. This was not an accident. He laid down rice only at this point. He quickly placed the bay leaf in with his left hand while trying to hide it by simultaneously pouring the beans. He wasn’t a swift as he thought he was. I literally held back myself from causing a scene. The bay leaf is probably used to make the chicken, we were not at that station yet. The only only reason there was a bay leaf there is because I saw him quickly reach for it after the awkward stare down he gave me when I couldn’t make out what he said.
I’m not a rude customer and I avoid any negative interaction whenever possible. I understand that complaining to the shift supervisor is probably a waste of time. I paid for our meals with a smile and decided to follow up this way. There’s no way that the young man’s character will lead him to success in any working...
Read moreFrom the moment my good friend TJ parked the car I knew that our time at this chipotle was going to be a memorable experience. Both TJ and I were accompanied by our girlfriends and we all looked forward to partaking in the sweet sustenance that is Chipotle. TJ and his girlfriend Julianna were the first to order. One ordered a steak burrito while the other ordered a bowl and the portion sizes were beyond generous. Their food overflowed from the small red baskets and I could not believe my eyes. I knew I was in for a treat. Next up to order was my girlfriend Anna and myself. Anna ordered a salad while I ordered a steak burrito like my respected colleague TJ. The master chipotle crafters executed their tasks with precision to ensure a delectable meal. But what happened next was surely unprecedented. A man by the name of Julio, a chipotle worker, finished the creation of my burrito. As the masterpiece was completed, my girlfriend and I simply stared at one another, dumbfounded by the massive meals which awaited our consumption. Then, as Julio proceeded to cash us out, he rang up our two orders, read us the total, and watched in horror as both my girlfriend and I reached for our wallets in an attempt to pay for these masterfully crafted meals. Luckily for me, I had the jump on my girlfriend Anna, but in a daring move, Anna, as I was reaching to hand my card to Julio, smacked the debit card out of my hand and made it fly 7 feet in the air and fall on the other side of the counter next to Julio. Each of us were amazed by what just took place and right when I thought all hope was lost, Julio picked up the debit card and swiped it, charging me for the bill and allowing me to be the gentleman I strive to be. Julio did me a great service that day and I don’t think I could ever...
Read moreThe problems I came across were cleanliness. The counter where the forks ,knives, napkins and drink covers was very messy with napkins and drink covers all over. The "buffet " where they make the food was messy with food. Our outside table was dirty. All of them were. The boys were polite. The one making the food was moving way too fast. He was not listening. as I was asking my child what they wanted he just put those ingredients in. He put hot sauce before my child could answer. ( the answer was no) but we decided to not complain and try it. When my child could not handle it we asked for it to be corrected. The manager came out rude as can be telling me not to order hot sauce for children. I didn't have the opportunity to explain my child is non binary so I use the words my child in place of my daughter. When I told her we didn't actually order hot sauce we were trying not to be difficult she just went on and on. Even while I was trying to communicate my order to the young man. Actually interrupting me. I intended to go in and pay for another bowl. There was no reason to involve a manager but they did and she was very ignorant. The guys working and the other woman working were all extremely polite. I will not return to...
