I recently moved from Chicago, IL to Lincoln, CA and I am not sure where to begin or end with my review of the Home Depot Store in Lincoln, CA.
As a new resident of Northern California, you can imagine I have a lot of renovation, ideas, projects and things that need to be done. Ever since my first encounter at the store, I am very honored to say that I've had STELLAR customer service. Ever been greeted with a smile, followed up with a hello, and anything I can do to help you find what you're looking for? Well, I have EVERY SINGLE TIME and much more.
This store and their staff have exemplary customer service from the moment you are greeted at the entrance door and in every single department (and trust me I've been to every single department.)
Just like the show "Cheers" where everybody knows your face/name, so is the case here. It feels like home when I go there and am warmly greeted with the same smiling faces who always offer to help you with any projects, give advice, and help you find useful resources.
I'd like to personally thank Jeff K. for always greeting me with a smile and always lending a hand in everything I needed help for. From the moment I met him he offered the best advice, help & assistance and above all his knowledge. I can tell he cares about his team and has a love/passion for what he does.
Another thank you to Ethan and Angelo who helped Jeff and I load a very large/heavy order into the moving truck. We couldn't have done it without you and your assistance.
Another personal thank you to Jeff L. for sitting down with me and enrolling me with the Home Depot Pro account. He made it painless and explained the processes.
Finally, another big thank you to Bobette, Michelle and Tim A. Nothing beats going into the store and seeing those big smiles and the "not you again" comments. Always greeted with assistance and help and going out of their ways.
Now, I know I mentioned Jeff K. and Tim A., and Bobette above but I am going to again. I made a purchase that unfortunately had to get returned due to the item being damaged by the manufacturer. Bobette jumped right in ensured that she would send Jeff K and Tim A to my home for redelivery of the item. No hassle, no problems. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.
Within the hour Jeff K and Tim A were at my home, reinstalling the item (it was a defective fridge) and hauled away the boxes. It's these personal touches that goes a long way. Home Depot is not just a place to buy items, but if you get to meet great quality people who love what they do for the sakes of that good ole "Family" feeling, then by golly I will always shop here!
Thank you to Home Depot for hiring great quality customer service as it's been long gone for many years, but not here! This is where you can shop knowing that there is always someone there to help you along the way and offer...

I purchased a dishwasher the week before Thanksgiving and had it scheduled for install that I paid for through Home Depot. They show up and tell me they can not remove the old dishwasher because it was "hardwired" and I would need an electrician to come out and disconnect it. When the electrician showed up, he pulled the old unit out, unplugged it from the wall, and charged me $180. I then called and rescheduled an install. Two weeks later they show up with no dishwasher. How can you show up for a delivery and not have what you're delivering? They said they would not be able to make it out again until January 3rd. I called the manager at Home Depot and he almost immediately turned me over to their "Customer Service Specialist" She apologized and credited me the money I paid for the electrician. She rescheduled an "Emergency" delivery appointment for just after Christmas. She said she would call after to make sure everything went well. (Never did) The day after Christmas Premiere called and said the dishwasher was damaged and they would have to re-order it. the new unit wouldn't be in until January 3rd. (coincidentally the same day they originally offered to deliver and install it) They show up on the 3rd and make me pull out the contract proving I paid for install. They then reluctantly start. Two minutes in, they tell me the hose kit was only six feet and too short. They would not be able to install it without the proper kit and would have to reschedule again. (my dishwasher is literally next to the sink, it would be under it if it was any closer) I called the manager at Home depot and told him I would do it myself and wanted a refund for the install. He said he would have to check with the installer to make sure they did not install it first, then call me back (Never did) I called back two days later and got another manager, she said I would have to come down in person to get the refund. (The Customer Service Specialist didn't need me to come down, maybe she has more power than the boss, or maybe she cares for the customer more than the boss, either way just another inconvenience in this two month ordeal) Strangely enough the dishwasher went right in with plenty of hose left over. Home Depot has made the decision to use this company and is responsible for providing their customers with the product and services they offer. Ā Ā Ā Read moreNOPE NEVER WILL I EVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE EVER AGAIN SPECIALLY APPLIENCES,PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND PURCHACE YOUR APLIANCES SOMEWHERE ELSE,I BOUGHT MY MOM A STAINLESS STEEL SAMSUNG FRIDGE MORE THAN A MONTH AGO,IT FINALLY ARIVED THIS PAST SUNDAY,MINE YOU IT WAS POURING THAT DAY, SO ANYWAYS I GET A PHONE CALL STATING THAT THE FRIGE WAS ON ITS WAY AND I WOULD BE EXPECTING THE DELIVERY PERSONEL TO ARIVE IN LESS THAN AN HR,KID YOU NOT THEY ARIVED WITH THE FRIDGE AN HR LATER SOAKEN WET,I WAS ALREADY ANNOYED AT THE FACT THAT THE FRIGE WAS WET AND THEY DIDNT EVEN OFFER TO HELP DRY IT OR ANYTHING,MY MOM STARTED DRYING IT AND NOTICED SOME DENTS AND SCRATCHES ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE FRIGE,I IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE STORE AND ALL THEY DID WAS TRANFER ME TO CUSTOMER SERVICE WICH AT THE TIME WAS ALREADY CLOSED SO I CALLED THE DAY AFTER WICH WAS MONDAY TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER AND I WAS TOLD I WOULD RECEIVE A CALL BACK,NEVER DID,I CALLED AGAIN THE DAY AFTER ON TUESDAY WAS TOLD THE SAME THING THAT THE MANAGER WAS UNAVAILABLE BUT I WOULD RECEIVE A CALL SHORTLY,AGAIN NOTHING I CALLED BACK ON WEDNESDAY I IMMEDIATELY GOT TRANFERED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE AGAIN,I FINALLY GOT TO TALK TO SOMEONE, I TOLD THEM THE SITUATION ABOUT THE SCRATCHES AND DENTS AND HOW IT LOOKED LIKE THE FRIDGE HAD BEN DROPPED OR SOMETHING AND IT WAS DAMAGED,AND IF THEIR WAS ANY WAY OF RETURNING IT OR EXCHANGING IT,TO WICH I WAS TOLD BY THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE NO,THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO,SINCE 48 HRS HAD PASSED,I COULD NOT BELIEVE I WOULD BE STUCK WITH A $2,300 BEAT UP APLIANCE FROM HOME DEPOT,THIS JUST MAKES ME SAD AND MAD BECAUSE I BOUGHT THAT FRIDGE FOR MY MOM,THIS IS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER CARE,WHO WOULD WANT TO GET A SCRATCH BEAT UP EXPENSIVE FRIDGE THIS BY FAR HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED,I DONT KNOW IF ITS THE DELIVERY COMPANY OR HOME DEPOT ITSELF BUT THEY REALLY NEED TO DO SOMETHING TO KEEP THIS FROM HAPPENING TO ANYONE ELSE,JUST TAKE MY ADVICE AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE,I KNOW I WILL,NEXT BIG PURCHASE IM DEFINITELY TAKING MY BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE LIKE...
