Beware!!!! Today we went to have a burger with our kids at Grand Tavern Livonia (our favorite burger around) After we were headed home to watch a movie and decided to stop at the bulk candy food store I want Candy in Laurel Park Mall HUGE MISTAKE My daughter picked a little Ice cream push up candy and son and husband some bulk tootsie rolls. Although it was ridiculousy priced, it was on our walk back to the car so we did it. My daughter opens hers as we walk out of the candy store and it won’t push up and we realize it hardened and is old and won’t push up through the holes. I turn around and ask the lady if she can trade it as it’s old and dried out. Her reponse is no, no exchanges and no refunds. I show her and explain that the candy is dried out and inedible as it won’t push up through the holes as it has solidified and we just paid $4.00 for it 5 minutes ago. She says, not my problem. So I leave it on the counter, roll my eyes and leave, cutting my loses. She yells have a “blessed day”at me as I walk out. When we get home, the bag of tootsie rolls that we paid $15 a pound for are all hard and inedible too! Complete garbage. Never again. Beware of this place. $20 wasted. Side note :Middlebelt and Ford in GC is our go to bulk candy store...
Read moreThis is the cutest little candy store that def gives nostalgic vibes with some old school candy that can be found. There are barrels of candy, they even have chips and juice in here. The lady working there was so nice and pleasant I would go back to see her. Lol but some will say the candy is overpriced but the world is overpriced atp lol I think you get a good deal if you shop right. You get more for your buck if you get you a little bag of candy versus paying for one piece of candy that potentially will be the same price as the bag of candy. None the less I love supporting small businesses and this place is cute and gives happy vibes while you get your sweet tooth for...
Read moreThis place sells candy in bulk. It's located inside the mall (Laurel Park), so I should have expected the prices to be high but .69 cent for this bag (see pic) of Pumpkin Seeds. They usually cost .25 or .50 cents at the highest, which is still really sad to consumers. Back in my younger days, they were only .5 cent. The bulk prices are pretty high as well at this store. They did have a variety of candy, but they only sell by the pound. If you are looking for a candy store that is considerate of charging less, this isn't the...
